I cant read them that well so only rarely look at them as I am not familiar with the ground and dont have the time to compare it to google earth or whatever.

No, it's not. You are mistaking what their propaganda machine spouts and what Russian interests are. Russians do not want the US to enter the war. The 1st Cavalry and 82nd airborne are already in Poland.

As far as a general statement about the foolish, strange nature of war, I get it.
And there are indeed some rules during a war that have kept nukes from flying believe it or not.
But..
One country invaded another and has given reason(s). It was an incredibly stupid mistake and the World is paying for it. Many are dying from it.
Now there is a fight ongoing within the invaded country. Its somewhat like WWII, there is a clear aggressor in Europe.
Not many people go back and use your same example of bizarre when describing Hitler.
I think if "we" could have a do over, you would hope Putin would not have made such an incredibly costly, deadly decision.
Or maybe you think Ukraine should have rolled over like Russians believe. Most Germans were proud of their response to alleged misdeeds of the Allies, but after it was finished there was so much catastrophic shame and no one was a Nazi apparently.
Realize you live in a country, I assume, that allows you to read a variety of news sources and figure it out on your own. Take some time to read over this simulation.

My simulation comment was more in regards to the universe as a whole. I'm not sure I really buy into that theory so in retrospect, it was a poor comment.
However, I still stand by my belief that this whole war in Ukraine is weird. We continue to arm them and make our presence known and Russia continues to be the aggressor. Seems like a staring contest between the US and Russia and someone is just waiting for the other to flinch. Ukraine gets just enough support to not be decimated but with no real chance at victory in sight. It sucks to live in a world where the majority is controlled by the egos of a few.
Ukraine didn’t declare war and invade Russia. Trump tried to extort Ukraine and kept saying what a great guy Putin is.

Like I'm no foreign policy expert but if you can't imagine the difference in the US's reaction to Russia invading Ukraine under a Trump administration vs. a Democrat (or any other) administration, you might be better served to just sit the discussion out altogether.

I have not read it elsewhere but I did read once that Ukraine had massed 100,000 troops on the border of the dumbass region which actually provoked Putin into invading first.
Does anybody have any other source for the 100,000 Ukraine troops?
