Patrick was drafted to a Playoff team with a HOF Offensive Coach in an Offensive Era. Of the Top 25 QBs of all time, I don't think any started with a more favorable deck of cards.

If you want to crown him early on, it's entirely understandable. I'll wait and see what occurs as he is forced to shoulder more responsibility. IMO if he was as great as many are already painting him, he wouldn't have mediocre Super Bowl numbers 3 games in.
Give me Brady's start to a career, tbh. Where you have to be little more than a game manager to collect 3 rings in your first 4 years.

So you're going to say that without telling us who the most gifted QB is?
Rodgers is the most gifted QB I've ever seen tbh.

Lmaooooo way to rewrite history. Before he had Mahomes, Andy Reid was regarded as a playoff choker who couldn't manage a clock.

No he isn't. Mahomes is a better Rodgers, who does it in the playoffs when it matter most. Rodgers is a bag and a bad leader who never takes accountability.

The Eagles were the whipping boy of the NFC East before he showed up. McNabb wasn't Mahomes. I agree.

I guess you are not old enough to remember. He got fired for not winning a Super Bowl in 14 seasons, this is not difficult to understand.

    Awesome, now do Belichik.
A good coach should be able to build and scheme with a great QB. And I guess I agree a lot of it is luck in who you end up with as your QB. But 3 Super Bowls, 5 straight conference championships?

Chiefs Pre Reid - 2 Playoff appearances in 9 years

Andy's first season: flipping a 2-win Chiefs team into 11 wins

I'm not saying Mahomes is a passenger. But he has started his career with the best deck of cards. Pat deserves to be in the GOAT conversation but I'm pumping breaks. Seen this movie before...

Are you saying he's a good coach or bad coach? Or somewhere in between that just ended up with Mahomes?

Reid is a good coach but it does help the kind of players he has had. Be interesting to see how he would do with a subpar team like the Texans or Bears.

He's a good coach that got the right player, and developed him very well. There are a lot of talented qbs out there that don't get to the right team/coaching staff

Got it. Almost all coaches successes are based on who they end up with. Phil Jackson, Pop, Jimmy Johnson, etc. I suppose you have to be a good enough coach to make it work.
Then on the other hand, you have guys like Belichick or maybe Rick Carlisle. Who did things pretty great with less material. I guess. Not trying to blow it off but it's an extensive conversation.

The main strength of their defense is the Defensive Line that was neutralized by the sloppy field. I don't think they are as bad as they performed that night.

Nah. That D line played ty QB’s most of the year. Can’t use the field as an excuse. KC’s D got 2 sacks in those “conditions.”

In terms of accomplishments Mahomes is already 3rd behind Brady and Montana. In terms of peak, Mahomes is the best by a distance.
Don't forget about Bradshaw when you're thinking about accomplishments. 4 rings, 2x SB MVP, 1 league MVP, 2x passing TD leader.

And way more interceptions than all of them
