Cavs also signed LDN (Danny Green).
Huh. At one point I thought he was good for them off the bench.
Cavs also signed LDN (Danny Green).
He was solid last year off the bench. Tad surprised myself but I think this is Cleveland doing right by him in a Spursy type of way. Bet he takes decent money off the table in his buyout ala LMA. Miami could make alot of sense.
Balmaro reached buy out with Jazz. Any interest there? Would have to waive Roby to do it though.
I'd be interested in that.... I've seen enough of Roby to feel good about letting him go...
Back to his roots.
Nah, he's not NBA material.
Yeah, that's an interesting one. I didn't like Balmaro in the draft because he's unathletic and can't shoot -- which is just about an impossible pair of negatives to overcome as a perimeter player. I was shocked he went in the first round. I had him graded as a decent second round flyer -- but more toward the end of the second roud.
But ............ I like him more than Roby. Balmaro is a quality playmaker and has good instincts. Pay Manu to teach up his fellow Argentine for a year, hope he shows signs of being able to shoot, hope he becomes more athletic than at least Bryn Forbes and then reassess? Might work. Probably won't. But maybe.
Bolmaro isn't unathletic (for an Argentinian, anyway), but he's not an NBA caliber player. It makes no sense to waste a roster spot and development time on someone who doesn't have the upside to warrant your investment
Yeah, I'd like Balmaro also. Gives Manu a reason to be interested in the rest of the season
I'd rather drink piss than eat poop, doesn't mean I'm looking forward to either...

Sources: The Chicago Bulls are aggressively pursuing free agent guard Patrick Beverley, @hoopshype has learned.
How do you pursue "aggressively" someone only you're interested in? By picking up the phone and saying "Hi"?![]()
Patrick Beverley only reacts to aggression. It's the language of his people.
Clippers continue on their quest to be the most unlikable team in the league.

Center Nerlens Noel and the Detroit Pistons have completed a contract buyout, his agent @GeorgeLangberg tells ESPN. Noel can join a team and become eligible for a playoff roster.
Slight rumbles that the Spurs are interested in Sandro Mamukelashvili, who was cut from the Bucks probably to shore up their playoff roster. I know there was some interest in the Seton Hall big man during that draft. (We took Wieskamp in the 2nd, SA went later.) A sweet passing PF/C with range, I'd be surprised if the rumor is true, as we're trying to integrate other bigs already, but taking a look might be worth it. Word is that Sandro's a top notch dude, too.
His numbers across the board just went in the toilet this year from his rookie season.
