I think Pop will be happy at 3 with the same 14% chance. And with CHA’s 5 games ahead, I think there’s enough buffer there to stay at 3rd. Expect more wins.
Tbh it’s worth dropping out of the top 3 in the draft just to watch miserable people continue to be miserable on here while myself and others enjoy the Spurs whether they win or lose.

WTF is this team doing? This winning streak has to stop
Calm down, bottom 3 is still secured
Interests in the injury report for the next two games.
There really isn't that much difference less than 2% from the 1st-3rd to the 4th worst record.
I don’t think Spurs will catch CHA. I’m sure Pop is happy at 3rd, and has room for some compe ive wins here and there to boost morale.
4 games between cha and sa......things are getting interesting
The Spurs are still 2-16 in their last 18 games. But what have you done for me lately?
wow! George Hill is still in the NBA
Man it was good to see Dev back though. He looked good and with all the growth Sochan had with him out, looking forward to seeing this improved Sochan alongside Dev/Tre/Keldon/Zach.
Will be interesting to see how aggressive Sochan stays with both Dev/Keldon healthy at same time…will he still be able to find a way to get 12-15 shots?
Tell Tre to stop shooting the frickin' ball unless its a layup
If we get scoot, Tre is a goner…..
In two years Blake’s going to be a problem barring injuries.
Funny thing is my seats aren’t that far from Tre’s wife lol. I like Tre - he’s been asked to do a lot this year and has honestly held up better than I thought. Ya, his shot has not come along as I hoped, but I definitely feel like he’s a very solid back up PG at least.
Will be very interesting to see how SA and others value him moving forward.
personally i enjoy the spurs more when they win and are competing for championships
was sochan's first game of the season with double digit boards
If the positions were reversed, people here would despair that we would never drop into the bottom 3.
If LaMelo would not have gotten injured I would have 0 worries. Now? I have like 30% worry due to heading into HOU 2x match up with ability to close CHA lead to only 2 games with like 17 to go.
Spurs only having to out perform CHA with no LaMelo by 2 games with 17 games each left? It’s definitely possible and even if they just catch them, they can lose the coin toss to finish 4th so dont even have to truly leap them.
Not the end of the world if they do - just means they can fall to pick 8 which would be a very tough pill to swallow.
Yes this lottery is a nail#$%ingbiter to be sure. Hope you made the game last night, looked like a fun one! I was by the tunnel for many years, great place to be.
Agree. He's become the whipping boy of the board for some reason, considering that I wasn't sure he could handle PG duties getting thrown in there completely. He's done more than well this year, IMO
Yeah he was in the middle of it last night, playing hard.
Couldn’t make it last night…sold the tickets to a Spurs fan though so someone could enjoy it. Will be there to see us beat down HOU tho![]()
Tre Jones will get more than the MLE this summer. I don’t see him as our long term starter at the point unless we fill this roster out quickly with Wemby plus 2-3 All-Stars but he could definitely step in to another more talented team as a traditional point. Otherwise he is a solid backup point on any team in this league.
Good thing we have Devonte Graham and his chucking as a replacement PG and aid to next years tank if Tre gets a better offer away.
