    yes lmaoooo

in both games there were 3 versions. early game you only have access to what i think was called the "simple" resurrection stone, which brings you back with minimal health. then you get the "superior" resurrection stone which brings you back with something like 50% health, which is what i tend to run, especially in ragnarok. and then later in the game you get access to the berserker resurrection stone which brings you back with minimal health but full spartan rage

if you use one, you have to go buy another one from the dwarves. theyre pretty cheap too. this game is basically sekiro tbh

God damnit that would have made my fight against Sigrun in the first game about 10x easier

So I have to do all six combinations in Muspelheim to get all 15 crucible challenges... ugh. Think I might wait for the post game to get that done.

That's what I did. Those challenges were annoying as if you're too low of a level imo. Much less painful just to wait until they become easy since you're going to be repeating the same fights over and over again. I really didn't like the timed challenges in the first game either.

    Also... resurrection stones.

That one with three Berserkers was the hardest imo.
So was that the hardest boss fight period in the game for you? Still getting wrecked by that one.

Is the Valkyrie Queen a missable fight or can I fight her in the post game if I don't do it while I'm still going through the story?

You can only fight her post game, IIRC.

    Ditto

The Berserker King is actually pretty easy once you beat the rest. You should have all the moves memorized by then and he fights on his own.

Lunda's armor is trash in that triple berserker fight. Think I'm going to have to go grind out a build based around realm shifts since that seems like it could be an easier way to exploit Svipdagr's aggression jumping at you.

Holy that triple berserker fight was a nightmare, but ended up getting it by using Lunda's armor + shield attack + poison by taking down the ice sister and then the red er is pretty easy when he's on his own if you have much health left after that.

yeah some peoples strat was a realm shift build where you just defend/parry against the main guy, and then when you get a realm shift, use that window to chip away at the sisters' health first. i never found success going after the sisters first but to each their own. to me that was the 2nd hardest fight in the game. even having already beaten it on Give Me No Mercy it was the fight i dreaded the most in by GMGOW run

So I take it the valkyrie fight is the hardest? Berserker king doesn't look too bad. The one thing I have problems with him on is that multiple bomb the ground attack with the red circles on the ground because he seems to shoot it off a lot faster than the other berserkers do so haven't beaten him yet.

I know one sister fights Atreus/Freya, but the other one still attacks enough that it was too much for me to try to kill the main guy first, especially when his attacks are so predictable.

Weird, I wrecked Ormstunga quick as . Don't even remember if I had the Lunda armor back then. Hardest not supposed to be hard fight for me was the draugr hole when Kratos got pissed and sent Atreus to his room and I was left with Freya in that worthless bird form.

Only hard thing about Berserker King is him gaining those two extra health bars, one at 50% and the other at 25%. That big health pool means you make a couple of errors and you're ed even though there is nothing difficult in itself that he does. Might turn off the locking since that s me when he shoots fire into the red circles on the ground.

Also feels like they really nerfed Spartan Rage in this game. Wonder if I should go Wrath instead for the Berserker King fight.

wtf was that guy? He looked like a normal mob in just a normal location, but kept wrecking me. Trying to fight at a distance didn't work at all. I basically had to stay on top of him, parry everything I could, and just smother him in a corner.

i found draugr holes to be hard at first, but once i realized that the main guy has the same attack pattern every time and a very limited set of combos, became incredibly predictable and trivial. only issue was when other mobs distract you, but i basically would try to bait them out, quickly eliminate them with rage, and then fight main guy 1v1 and it was cake

i think Fury is still very useful because if you just proc it and immediately turn it off, its a very easy "oh " button to avoid imminent damage and stagger everyone. you can still basically do that with Wrath + get some useful damage in, but i feel like with Fury you could probably do that quite a few times without refilling your rage meter, whereas with Wrath you are capped at 4 unless you refill your rage. though truth be told, in my big fights against berserkers/gna, etc, i didnt really have to use it more than 3-4 times anyway, so wrath is probably better

fury also still lets you heal up some if you just burn through all of it, so its the most versatile as far as spammabilty + auto stagger enemies + heal + damage output

Took down the Berserker King and while he was pretty hard for me, not anywhere close to the triple berserker fight nor the gank mob berserker fight.

It's funny when doing the realm shift build I still hated how little damage I was doing and found out I could still usually sneak hits in on the sisters even without triggering the realm shift, so dumped the realm shift wrist and waist armor and went back to the full Lunda set. Even managed to take the triple berserkers out without equipping my Vanaheim amulet set that added extra damage onto status affected enemies; still had my realm shift relics equipped that were useless without realm shift armor.

Lunda's chest piece with the Vanaheim amulets and the dragon wrist and waist armor is really good in the game though. Instead of getting +40% melee attack onto poisoned enemies you get +50% shield attack without needing the poison plus whatever you inflict on the enemy with poison from your shield. Really eager to see how this build holds up to the Valkyrie Queen once I get there.
