Just curious, assuming the spurs and Charlotte tied at 22 wins (I don't think that happens but if it did) would the spurs get the 14 pct. and Charlotte the 12 pct. chance because the hornets beat us twice in the regular season or would it be like a coin flip for the #3 spot ? Again just curious, all kinds of strange crap can happen in the draft lottery and we need the most possible chances.

All draft ties are broken by coin flips. There are no built in tie breakers. I remember a year when we tied Portland for a playoff position, and they won on like the 3 level tiebreaker and got the higher seed. They then won the draft coin flip, and got the better pick. WTAF?

And yet 4 wins behind Charlotte. You can relax
Ya but they have 4 extra games to catch up. So if they make up 2 games soon (win tonight vs depleted Mavs) it’s going to be close.

I believe the Spurs have three games in hand, not four. Still, they do need to stage manage losses if they want to ensure the third spot. They can easily do it. Question is will they.

You’re right - i thought CHA had 50 losses but it’s 49. So 3 games. Still - a win tonight by SA and it gets a lot tighter since it’s obvious Sa win % is going to be higher than most of season imo - even with “tough” schedule

especially down the stretch when opposing teams start resting guys. Things could get interesting between cha and sa.

Yeah, I don’t see bottom 3 a lock. This was always the concern, that some other team would be more brazen about tanking down the tail stretch.

The truth is, it's still nearly impossible for CHA to drop enough to get #3. Over the last 10 games, we're both 4-6. They can't afford to just match us. We beat one good team ( massively struggling) and two bottom feeders. Only one more non playoff/play in team on the schedule.

That's right. Denver has been terrible lately and last night the Spurs just went hogwild from range. I think tonight is a W, but the rest will be harder.

Somehow still ahead of HOU and DET with that losing streak …but still, SA could have won that one last night. They are in every game now, especially when Collins/Sochan/Keldon/Vassell all play.

Need CHA to win one or two more IMO..good news CHA plays HOU once at least. Although, best case scenario is for SA to not win enough for that to matter and HOU leap SA to end the year. These 4 wins hurt in that they have all kept us ahead of HOU who actually is winning a few too

Other than a 16-0 stretch and a 16-1 stretch, the Spurs this year are 17-19.

yeah there are a few very bad teams, not just the spurs

the question is whether its realistic that charlotte leaps us in the lottery standings. its not realistic. for all the hoopla about spurs recent wins, spurs and hornets each are 4-6 in their last 10, 2 of those wins being sans lamelo

Those periods in the middle of the season when the su iously stopped playing defense, never got back in transition, and rested lots of players.

Except Pop rarely plays them all. Next game, Keldon probably sits with the jammed finger he played through.

Injury list: Johnson, Keldon - minor hand injury, doubtful.

Houston is winning, because we are letting them, because Charlotte is winning so we can. Dominoes.
