Really looks like Pop is using the end of the season to evaluate what they got and prepare the draft + the offseason now that the tank job comes to an end. He"ll probably totally drop the last few games to make sure spurs stay bottom 3. Hopefully anyway.

Mamu looks like he's been with the team for two years. He's totally fit in.

I think he looks great for a rotation guy. Sure, he has limits, but he hustles and does smart stuff. A smart player is in the right spots already and doesn't need a ton of athleticism. Imagine if we were getting this kind of production out of Joe Wieskamp, who we drafted the year Mamukalashvili was drafted later. We'd be ecstatic.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but noticed in the box score Trae Young was held to single digits. Was that do to great Spurs defense or just an off night for Young?

Everyone should get an F for winning this game.

They are going to F around and end up outside the bottom three.

Bruh, they only have a 40.1% chance to be in the top three as it is. Ya gonna be disappointed.

vassell with that khris middleton tier performance

middleton's breakthrough year was 2015-2016 when he averaged 18/4/4 on good percentages. that was his age 24 season (his 4th year in the league). vassell is having comparable numbers in his age 22 season (his 3rd year). the difference is by that point middleton was already a consistently solid defender, whereas Vassell really hasnt been.

Sounds like Vassell needs a long, lanky Euro baller to play along with to really hit that next level.

I wanted the L for tank’s sake, but who wouldn’t want an asskicking of DJM and his preferred team? It seems an eye opening how Spurs could capably turn it on when they want to. And I think Keldon/Vassell were just fed-up with Dejounte feeling too good of himself that the two decided to show a different game to the delight of their coach. It felt like the Spurs gave the Hawks a big headstart, but showed they could easily take it back. It was very satisfying to say the least.

Vassell apparently was back to his old self prior to surgery. He showed he could score at any part of the court. Devin was just unstoppable.

Collins continue to impress. I expect a high teen for him every game, maybe 18 and 6 with a sprinkle of assists.

Blake shows tenacity on defense, he’s constantly bothering his man and dangerous in stealing the ball on help defense.

Mamu continues to get better as he gets better acclimated. He’s a keeper.

Champagnie is serviceable as a streaky scorer. He also showed great effort on the defensive end. I think he’s another steal if he continues.

We probably saw a glimpse of Spurs capability to compete. I’m pleased.

Big Mamu continues to give great physical effort on both ends of the court. Easily moving ahead of Barlow in the rotation--and I really had higher expectations for Barlow.

I think Spurs can use both. Barlow has athleticism and lateral speed that Mamu doesn’t have in covering faster PF’s. Or they can actually be in the court at the same time, coz Mamu could need a shotblocking help defender if he’s ever playing C

And a legend in his own mind regarding his comments regarding his influence on the development of Keldon and Devin.

They basically handed him the keys and moved an actual Spurs legend to the bench. If anyone should complain it should be TP. He was still a better point guard than Murray when he shipped off to Charlotte.

Fully aware of the odds. It's still stupid to mess around with falling out of the top three.
