First, because most Dems aren't even dems these days especially the youth who have been brainwashed to no end. Second, I needed one once but didn't own one and the situation worked itself out fortunately. I believe, like days past, everyone should be taught proper gun etiquette and grow up with them so they aren't so fearful of them as adults and don't grow up to be complete re s who scream for gun control(loss of rights tbh).
The fact you haven't needed a gun yet to defend yourself is great. Less guns in your hands means more for those who don't live in your plastic bubble. Hope you never need a gun tbh PG but if you ever do need one God help you.

Second and third: So living in a bubble means I don’t go to rallies looking for trouble? Because I get out and about far more than you have any idea. But I don’t go looking for trouble. And, unlike your basic red team Trumper wielding arms member I don’t need a gun to act as a penis at a rally. I do understand why women who are forced to be in constant bad situations with trouble might need one. And some others obviously.
(Anecdote from just two weeks ago: I was sitting at a rest stop on bike trails along a wide open road. I was paying attention and noticed someone around me from the parking lot. He said he hated walking and needed my bike. (While I was sitting.)
He basically was saying I’m taking your bike. I had already sized him up and was aware of what he had which was nothing. I got up walked toward him and my bike, looked at him and told him he was not riding my bike anywhere and told him it’s best if we move on. He said I don’t want to fight. I said neither do I. As I rode away he threw a rock at me and yelled at me he was going to shoot me. After I was a good distance away.
I kept riding and told others on the path not to go that direction after I met one family walking that way. Then I called 911. Because there were more people on the trail going that way than I thought.
What I could have done:
I could have gone back directly after he threw a rock at me and beat the holy crap out of him annd told him to leave. And I could have done so easily. But that possibly involves breaking/hurting a finger or foot and maybe blood splattering, I’m done with that. I have already made mistakes with that anyways when in HS and college. It’s not worth people hating you and getting in trouble with someones family. Or maybe I carry a gun, because I’m a hothead (I’m not) with way too much self pride and go back just to make myself feel better that I got rid of, or beat the out of some s ? But wtf do I know of his background? Or maybe I just pull the gun on him? Flash it? What? Just having the gun makes some people react differently about a situation Imo. Less chance of losing some pride [ walk away] when the situation does not call for it? I don’t want anything to do with that. 911 was fine. And notifying trial stewards who did the same.
Im not a teenager or a hothead or scared. I am aware of the wrong situations and how to alleviate them peacefully. I’ve had enough experience on how to avoid the wrong situations so I don’t even have to alleviate them. I actually see why some people do feel they need one for self defense. But on THE WHOLE, there are far too many people who get into bad situations because they have one than for protection. That’s my opinion. Little men who want a big penis at ude. And are too prideful because they have not been involved in the physical violence end.
tldr understood… but this confrontational incident fairly recently made me think of the younger past me and the much more reasonable fk the pride me now.
PS. Stay safe please. I don’t like to see anyone hurt. It bothers me a lot more and it should. I have made mistakes.

If you can avoid such a situation you do so but some people aren't as lucky. Most who carry legally know the laws are check their emotions at the door too.
