"Is it not an armed society? Yes or no"
Don't you know the difference between a "well armed society" and an "armed society"?

Well, with no 2A, all their gun regulations, and no semi-automatics, are they even a “society?”

Of course the conversation was about the USA, as a matter of fact, spurraider brought up Japan explicitly to contrast against the free for all that's the US.

You then tried to crowbar Norway/Switzerland into that convo by stating they have low homicide rates despite that they have high gun ownership per capita.

But compared to the US, they do not. Not at all. So tell me again what everyone here missed...
I proved an armed society could also be a polite society.

And an obese person can live to be 70, that doesn't mean someone who weighs 1,200 pounds shouldn't try to lose weight. You're a ing dumbass.

That is such a terrible analogy considering how low the homicide rate is in Norway and Switzerland. You're a ing dumbass.

It's a great analogy. People who are just fat enough to be considered obese have a death rate much more in line with the general population than people who require a crane to help them get off the couch typically don't live as long. You're trying to defend the fat whale by pointing to a couple dudes with beer bellies that lived to be 80.

And again, since you continue to ignore the question, are Norway and Sweden's homicide rates as low as Japan's?

It's a terrible analogy. The global intentional homicide rate is 6.1 per 100k. Norway and Sweden come in at .5 per 100k with each still being in the top 20 gun per capita.

Are Norway and Sweden as low as Japan? No...but only .25 per 100k higher.

Thanks for confirming we didn't miss anything. Again, "armed" compared to who? Not the USA.

And let's stop pretending you would be ok with Norway's gun regulations. So why bring it up?

Armed compared to the rest of the world. That was a dumb question.

Just read Norway's regulations...I'd fine with them. I live in California and already deal with some of the strictest if not the strictest regulations in the country.

The global rate is not relevant to the "definition of an armed society" goalpost you erected and belabored. The global rate includes all of the undeveloped 3rd world holes with sketchy data on firearm ownership... and the US still exceeds that rate.

The point is Norway and Sweden being an armed society doesn't mean homicide rate is irrelevant to guns per capita.

Are Norway and Sweden as low as Japan? No...but only .25 per 100k higher.
Right. So an unarmed society can be an even politer society.

Why not just say that in the first place instead of going rounds and rounds stretching the bounds of logic to simp for US gun policy?

I mean I feel like "be more like Norway" is a perfectly agreeable position but conservatives would rather argue about tangential bull and minutiae than find common ground while kids are getting shot in schools on an almost monthly basis. Sick, miserable, insecure s.

Now that TSA says he's fine with all of Norway's gun restrictions, would he actually work to enact those restrictions into laws or vote for those who would seek to do so?

spurraider brought up the global rate homicide rate and used Japan's lack of arms as an example. Take it up with him.

Right. So an unarmed society can be an even politer society.
