Consider that majority of Spurs picks were late first round, then compare that to the rest of the league which most don’t even go pass 4 year in the league. While Spurs draftees like George Hill, CoJo, Kyle, Lonnie, White, Murray still playing, and even playing significant minutes with contenders. I’d say Spurs picked well.
Agree. It's barely worth mentioning, especially compared to how devastating some teams' draft history has been.
Anderson I think may have been good but he broke his foot
didn't someone e the nachos when the spurs picked hughes?
Primo is the only lottery pick that busted. He was pretty bad. After the draft, observers thought the Spurs reached. He never showed anything in the league, nobody else wants to take a flyer on his alleged talent, and his enduring legacy is going to be letting his penis hang out during therapy sessions.
I mean if we are going to nitpick, I’d put that English Center who had guard handles, did not even play NBA minutes. What’s his name?
Ryan Richards
Ryan Richards. But never mind he was 49th pick. But I kept waiting for him to come. He’s like a modern day big.
Then there’s Livio, 28th pick in 2013. Only played in Austin.
All I can remember about Richards was playing on the Summer League team in 2013.
i dont know most of the people on that list. but primo was a top 10 pick so by default its him
Alfrederick Hughes has entered the chat...
Pick 12.
Honestly the Spurs have hit so many times in those late first round picks, it's insane. Missing one is okay.
There were only seven lottery picks in 1985.
ah good call. was a lottery pick, just not top 10
Easily Primo considering where he was drafted and how quickly he was waived due to self inflicted reasons. Not to mention he never really looked that great to begin with
Primo thread!
Gotta be Primo.
#12 pick, and a controversial one because there were several good picks still on the board.
Drafted because of his "high character"...subsequently got cut in his 2nd year due to sexual misconduct while still collecting $8M from the Spurs, and so far doesn't seem to be drawing interest from any other team.
Never really impressed or grew as a player. Averaged 5.9 points in his career, or 10.8 Per 36 (to this date)
The wording of that first sentence![]()
He still had a way better career than Alfredrick the Great though. His career highlight was running his Benz up the embankment on 281.
Missed drafting that pedo Warm Karl by a coin flip.
