But it's not. That's the crazy part. There is increased visibility for sure in part because young people at a crucial stage of market targeting like the ideas of inclusiveness and tolerance but the backlash is completely out of proportion. There has been an insane number of laws passed in Texas the past two sessions for a population that is at best 1% of the whole and to my knowledge sometimes don't even exist in the case of trans athletes in state supported schools. That's political marketing of fear to different target groups of mainly old and rural folk who have never seen a trans person that wasn't on their basic cable.

The notion that being straight is inborn and that children are tricked into being gay by adults trying to confuse them is laughable. Kids aren't that innocent and they aren't that stupid. The problem here is approximately 100% power-tripping parents who are afraid of change and think they can, or ought to, choose how their kids present themselves to the world and who they . IRL, they can't.
