The narrative is that guys like Ben Shapiro and Steven Crowder recently got ~$50m deals indicating a very fat right wing pundit market so Carlson could be looking to eat. Darrin is just hero worshiping.
I mean he did get his contract fully paid out, and he'll probably get a good payday from someone else.
The grift will continue because the rubes demand to be grifted. Tucker's gonna be fine.
He's gonna end back up at CNN after a long pr push. He'll be "rehabilitated" in viewer's eyes and will instantly be CNN's top paid talking head and he's instantly doing what he does best.
Darrin says silver spoon heir to frozen food multimillions is gonna be alright.
He should be able to cover this debt then:
Fox has lost credibility with its viewers for backing Trump less than 100% and venturing the occasional criticism. It's probably not right wing enough for Darrin, people like him turn on cable news and expect talking heads to echo what they already think.
Tucker has now been fired from every major media outlet. Let that sink in, and then realize his most rabid fanbase is because he went full on extremist nut job.As Matthew Gertz of Media Matters pointed out, Tucker has now been fired from CNN. MSNBC, PBS, and Fox News.
That is the part that I find the most trippy. They are more mad that Fox called Arizona "too early" than for being lied to repeatedly.
The text alarmed the Fox board, which saw the message a day before Fox was set to defend itself against Dominion Voting Systems before a jury. The board grew concerned that the message could become public at trial when Mr. Carlson was on the stand, creating a sensational and damaging moment that would raise broader questions about the company.
The day after the discovery, the board told Fox executives it was bringing in an outside law firm to conduct an investigation into Mr. Carlson’s conduct.
The text message added to a growing number of internal issues involving Mr.Carlson that led the company’s leadership to conclude he was more of a problem than an asset and had to go, according to several people with knowledge of the decision. In other messages he had referred to women — including a senior Fox executive — in crude and misogynistic terms. The message about the fight also played a role in the company’s decision to settle with Dominion for $787.5 million, the highest known payout in a defamation case.
A representative for Mr. Carlson said he had no comment.

A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is?
That's it? He's said much worse on air during the white power hour.
of course white men fight like that

Fox demands Media Matters stop publishing leaked Tucker Carlson videos
Fox sent a cease-and-desist letter on Friday to Media Matters, the progressive watchdog, and its president, demanding that it take down embarrassing behind-the-scenes videos of Tucker Carlson attacking Fox News’ streaming service and making crude remarks while joking with staff.
The footage, published over the last week in a series of clips, comes in the wake of Carlson’s abrupt firing at the right-wing network and as a steady drip of leaked text messages show the former primetime star making racist and denigrating comments.
The sternly worded letter from Fox Corporation lawyers said the “unaired footage” is its “confidential intellectual property” and demanded Media Matters “cease and desist from distribution, publication, and misuse of Fox’s misappropriated proprietary footage, which you are now on notice was unlawfully obtained.”

Footage makes Tucker look good to his audience
Fox pretends they're not the leaker
Snacks is Tucker's audience.
He could make you laugh.
He could make you cry.
Most importantly he could make you angry.
One of the great character "news" anchtors of our time...
Snacks is excited.
Honestly can't wait for him and Fox to go to war with each other.
How easy is it to get Twitter on basic cable?
Long form video on a channel known for 280 character limit seems like a no brainier.
