It's true though, that's the difference. Democracy clearly wasn't working for these treasonous bunch and an extended part of conservatives.
Apparently our justice system isn't working either when they're found guilty. This is a very fascist view of things, very Trumpian I might add.

I never saw the threat or end game personally. When I saw it on TV my initial reaction was - yaaa this will be beaten to death on news cycles. That's fine it is their job to do so but I'm also having a laugh at individuals on here who seem to have feared for Democracy, America, their families well being or all the above.

I was with someone that was defending & celebrating it. I argued with them and said it will have lasting repercussions.
I never felt there was serious threat of government take over or something. As if USA government wouldn't use force on us citizens.

Jessica Watkins, an Army veteran and member of the far-right Oath Keepers, was sentenced Friday to 8.5 years in prison for participating in a plot to disrupt the certification of the 2020 presidential election culminating in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.
Judge Amit Mehta said Watkins’ efforts at the Capitol were “aggressive” and said she did not have immediate remorse, even though she has since apologized.
“Your role that day was more aggressive, more assaultive, more purposeful than perhaps others’. And you led others to fulfill your purposes,” Mehta said. “And there was not in the immediate aftermath any sense of shame or contrition, just the opposite. Your comments were celebratory and lacked a real sense of the gravity of that day and your role in it.”
