Lol people don’t criticize Doc because of race. They criticize him because he’s always coaching teams loaded with talent and he consistently fails to get it done in the post season, with the lone 2008 exception. And a lot fans give Thibs a ton of credit for the success of those Boston teams anyway. Yet Doc keeps getting into prime coaching situations with teams that have premium talent. They make fun of the parade planning with the Clippers. And they make fun of the fact that he sounds like his vocal chords have been swimming in the garbage disposal.

I don’t think of race when Doc gets bashed for something. Not remotely. Just like I don’t think of race when people make fun of Jason Kidd’s coaching.
As I alluded to, I believe it's mostly subconscious. The masses have been brainwashed into thinking whites inherently have superior intellect and that coaching is primarily about that, which is why it's rare to hear a black coach credited, particularly for strategical purposes.

Lue is the exception and even that's only occurred in the past few seasons.

Meanwhile, with the exception of Budenholzer, every white coach who lucked into winning a championship(s) is deified.

Like most things in this league now, it's all agenda driven narrative. The reality is, coaching is largely irrelevant.

You really are delusional and socially inept. I have nothing else to reason with you anymore. But go ahead and keep posting like anything you do is a win for yourself, I’m sure your own family finds you to be a disappointment which is why you always frequent on here.

It’s pretty archaic reasoning. The brainwashing of the masses is an overly exaggerated and generic argument. This isn’t the 1980s. There will always be a segment of the population that believes or subscribes to racial superiority/inferiority. That much will always be true. But it’s not the “masses” anymore. It’s not the majority... unless you live in Florida or Texas maybe. And the NBA isn’t the NFL. The NBA has made a concerted effort to advance coaching and front office diversity. The most recent Coach of the Year is Mike Brown. The most widely regarded current best coach in the league is half Asian Erik Spoelstra. Darvin Ham is getting praised left and right for his adjustments and counters against Golden State. Just like Udoka last season.

If you were talking about the NFL, this argument might have some merit. The majority of their fan base is what you tried to describe. But not NBA coaching. Frank Vogel isn’t deified. And other than him and Bud, there haven’t been many other white coaches who “lucked into a championship” over the past quarter century. Almost all were proven, consistent winners. Phil, Pop, Riley, Kerr. Even Carlisle had a proven winning track record as a head coach. But he wasn’t deified either. Even after the le, Mavs fans bashed him for his stubbornness and unwillingness to evolve with the game. Spoelstra if you consider him white didn’t start to get much credit until after LeBron was gone and he started to overachieve with lesser talent. Nurse may be the one white coach who has been unjustifiably deified a little bit on these boards. But that’s their bad whoever did that. But every white coach who lucked into a championship? Nah son. Just not true.

Your take is bad. Really, really bad.

I could care less whether you think I bring insightful post. This site is not my life. I have a family who isn’t disappointed in me unlike you. I don’t take this as seriously. But what else should I expect from a socially awkward, mass shooter vibe kind of person?

    1. Again, you're talking about "subscribing", I'm talking about mostly subconscious racial bias which of course is not a one-way street (see the inexplicable Jokic slander).

    2. The NBA's attempts to modernize their approach doesn't have anything to do with the media and what they're disseminating to the masses.

Most fans don't have the interest and/or time to consume the amount of teams not their own nor do they have the requisite x's and o's knowledge to form a credible opinion on who/what a "good/bad" coach is, so they regurgitate what they're fed.

    3. Ham has been criticized left and right and is receiving little praise.

Luck = any coach who got to be attached to greatness and caught the necessary breaks on top of that.

The near 20, 000 extra posts in 3 less years say otherwise.

At your high-school bully routine. You don't know a thing about me outside of my basketball takes and can't speak the game on my level, so you resort to childish, baseless nonsense like this. Grow up.

It's weird how much the league favors the Warriors that they even favor them over their alleged cash cow the Lakers.

Lethargic to start the game on D. That really allowed the others on GS to work the Lakers in back cuts and well, that needs to be shored up. AD taking a shot to the head is concerning. Not one to blame the officiating, but it was curiously interesting to see what the Dubs got away with. Nonetheless, the hope is that LBJ and AD are good for Game 6 as that's going to be based on whose others shine and whose do not.

I thought the Lakers played better than I expected. Golden State got off to a really good start and had a favorable whistle most of the game. And the Lakers still managed to be within shouting distance most of the way when they could have easily checked out on the road, certainly getting down 18 or so points in the second half. As long as AD plays and is idk 75-80% and not a space cadet, they still have a pretty good shot in game 6.

Kerr vented that the officials called his Warriors for committing illegal screens. He said the Lakers were rewarded for committing flops.

“I thought the fourth was about [Lonnie] Walker, and it was about — I think we had three or four illegal screens called, and that was disappointing. I didn’t get a look at the replay on any of them, but there were a couple that were very disappointing live. But the Lakers are a team that plays with a lot of gamesmanship. They understand how to generate some calls. I thought they took some flops and were rewarded. But I’ll have to see the replays. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe those were all illegal screens, but it didn’t feel like it watching the game,” Kerr said.
I mean, moving screens were an integral part of the GSW offence for a decade now, what the ?
