Migrants ‘dumped’ in Chicago shelter could 'destroy' Black communities, residents say (yahoo.com)

"Why would any leader put our Black communities already riddled with crime, at further risk by placing unvetted, non-taxpayers steps away from our seniors, our children, and our homes we've worked so hard on our own to secure," said J. Darnell Jones, a resident of South Shore.

I think so, but it seems you might agree with the folks you're putting in the crosshairs of your racism scope.

AFAIK, Central and South American migrants aren't less able and educated than native Americans. In my personal experience, they're neither underskilled nor less educated. However, I live in Texas, so my personal experience of how educated people here are might be skewed.

Native Americans or "native" (born in USA) Americans?

I assume you mean the latter, so i'm gonna say this... the illegal aliens are typically much less educated on average, but skill wise they're typically willing and able to do hard labor type stuff for very low pay that US Citizens (of all races) don't generally want to do and would rather beg at the corner at the sign for beer and drug money than actually work those jobs.

    based on what, vibes?

I'll try to dig up the comparative study I posted a few years back, it indicated central American migrants to Texas are roughly on par educationally with native Texans, and less likely to be criminals. About 20 years ago, Carole Keeton Strayhorn's audit found immigrants to have a net positive economic impact here.

They take lower paying jobs because we customarily treat them like . Also, because in real terms, these lower paying jobs are objectively better than what they make at home. Back in the 1990s I met a Mexican engineer working as a dishwasher in Austin. Living with 8 other guys in a small place, the money was better here than in Yucatan as a credentialled professional.

(The 1990s were a particularly dismal time in Mexico, as immigration rates indicated.)

(From 2008-2018 or so, the rate of immigration from Mexico was negative, not that any of the dittoheads here noticed.)

I'm not just saying Texas I'm saying national average

On average Texas isn't the most college educated state imo. The RGV area especially has a poor college and even high school graduation rate.

Compare it to a place like Michigan or any of the northeast states.

I probably agree with your assessment. But you are also saying they are about equal with our worst.

I've heard the argument it's not numbers wise possible only blacks/whites are committing all these thefts in California. We've essentially taken on Millions of illegals very quickly and how are they sustaining themselves?

For the record I think Republicans are blowing a huge opportunity by not tackling the issue with a passage reform. It's a desperate losing issue at the moment that only states like Texas are swayed by. California is too blue. Majority of the country has other priorities

I live in Texas, a very large border state, so the comparison works for me.

Even if the educational attainment lags the national average (prove it!), we need young blood to pay for all our aging boomer asses and to start new families here. More immigration regardless of status is objectively good for the country.

it's just economics. without more immigration, we won't be able to maintain the lifestyle to which we've become accustomed.

Good night, I see your white flag.

Also, there's no reason to think immigrants will automatically be more.liberal than anyone else. Y'all's habit of demonizing them sure isn't helping your cause, though.

Who is demonizing them now, Wine?,,,you think the blacks in this article are republicans in Chicago?,,,,if blacks start turning on illegals,,,you democrats are in real trouble. Which side do you take at that point?

and its just getting started,,,you could see it when the black mayor of new york said he doesnt want anymore illegals coming his way,,,,and blacks are starting to ramp up the rhetoric,,,,its us or them type of situation.

USA still has plenty of room for expansion and let's be honest neither party is truly invested in Nationalism/Communism. Bring in the new to step over the bottom. This isn't a geneous nation, there is no foundation or sub-race to care about. Next man up...

I don't have to pick one. More immigration is objectively good for us. That others are wrong about this isn't my responsibility.

Ok,,,so you want to tell blacks to sit down, shut up and deal with it,,,immigration is good. Good luck with that. Blacks even stated in the article that theyll be damned if theyre gonna let anyone come in and feed off their gravy train,,,,

"They will be fully taken care of, yet here in our community, we aren’t taken care of," said Linda Cohran, who also lives in South Shore.

Being a central American immigrant to the US is no gravy train. And I'm not telling anyone to sit down and shut up. Living in a free country means everyone gets to say what they want about it, no matter how jackassed or mistaken.

There is truth in this argument Hemis is making. If we are to buy in that black americans deserve raparations and are disenfranchised demographic then why are we importing compe ion.

But that's where the recent creation of "People of color" comes in. It's all one groups fault. They are the target and reason for your hardship. Growing up atleast we were united against the Rich & Wealthy. Now professional athletes given the right pigmentation are not just excused but "part of the struggle". It's brilliant new shift in blame and many whites themselves eating it up.
