Spurs won’t use all these stockpiled first rounders to just keep younger. They can be used like Phoenix did to get KD. I’m thinking Lillard would be a nice piece to go next to Wemby.

Yeah, that did wonders for Phoenix.
Also, Lillard is 33 year old, and most our core is between 19 and 23. It makes no sense, and whoever posted that is an idiot.

Too old... no chance this happens. Even with Lillard, we wouldn't be competing for a le. Let's hope Atlanta bottoms out and we get another lottery pick.

I'm interested in Charlotte's pick at #2. But then again, they are also in the same mindset as us.

Apart from drafting Wemby, this Spurs summer will be so boring. . .

    No FAs to speak of.

They won't skip any steps (in true Pop form).

I'm not sure about that. I wouldn't be surprised if they sign or trade for a veteran center to strengthen the rotation and fill in for Zach Collins if needed (like Plumlee, for instance).
Also, I'd pay close attention to the draft, I'm pretty certain Wemby isn't the end of it for us, trading up or into the first round sounds very possible, if they find an interesting player available we have more than enough future picks to make it happen. I have a feeling it won't be a boring draft for us (outside of Wemby).
I'd like to bring along 2/3 rookies each year until we're settled (next 3 years or so).

The draft won't be boring (even apart from Wemby) but the rest will.

I'm watching Terquavian Smith as a potential under the radar draft target.

Yes only vets that cost little to nothing to acquire, like CP3, who can coach up young players and then get released if they wear out their welcome.

I do wonder if the Spurs can facilitate a Lillard trade with a third team by absorbing a salary or two from that third team that the Blazers won't want while getting some draft capital in return.

stop the nonsense. Do you want to pay a 36-year old Dame Lillard 63 million per year? That would literally be one of the dumbest moves you could possibly make. This is not about building a contender, it's about building the most dominant team in NBA history long term.
