I can see a world where Wemby gets like 90% of France to vote for him and gets a starting spot. Kind of like Zaza that one year except Wemby is actually really good at basketball.

How does the NBA All-Star voting process work?
The fan vote accounts for 50 percent of the total vote to determine the starters for the NBA All-Star Game. Current players and media members split the other 50 percent. Each ballot consists of two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference. Reserves are chosen by NBA head coaches, and league commissioner Adam Silver chooses injury replacements if necessary.
If Wemby has a good season (say 20 PPG on good efficiency and defense) and the Spurs are in play in territory by then, I could definitely see Wemby making the All Star game in his first season, even if normally you shouldn't. The hype will play a huge part into that, and the league will be interested in making it happen too. He just needs to make a decent enough case.
he will improve our record tremendously because we sat 50% of our team in every game down the line. That team could've easily won 30-35 games at full strenght.

if he plays enough games (not because of injury but because of management) i can see him making the allstar game. either as a starter or reserve.
Timmy made it his rookie season as a reserve i believe.
