The Spurs enter their brave new world with only two contracts that extend beyond 2024, as much as $43.5 million in salary cap space to spend, and control of as many as 15 first-round draft picks and 26 second-round selections through 2030, including unprotected Hawks first-round picks in 2025 and 2027, thanks to last summer’s Dejounte Murray deal. No team with pre-existing contracts and player-development investments is a complete blank slate; San Antonio’s about as close as it gets, though.

He's the guy that refused to give out Batum's medicals, and floated the rumor of a heart condition so that we'd have a chance to draft him. Didn't work, but he and our FO are like hand in glove. I think he hid Livio after the Nike Hoop Summit so that we could draft him. Maybe something with Mahinmi, too? I think he was also Diaw's agent.

I don't know that some of them would risk it due to conflict of interest. I know TFloss quit posting here when he got hired on somewhere. He used to run all the Longhorns football news in the CS forum.
