Heat had so many chances to put this game away, like when Williams fouled before the inbounds, the Heat didn't send their best FT shooter to the line. Then they didn't score on the ensuing inbounds play. It was a major CF late on both sides, but you cannot blame this on officiating.

A simple box out and Miami is in the finals. Miami will still win game 7 and still win the championship, but the Heat are simply beating themselves. They’ll be fine though.

This was my point earlier. You can say a team lost or you can say they imploded. Losing implies another team was better, but imploding implies you beat yourself.

I don't mean it's going to be compe ive. I mean the implications either way are great. If the Celtics win, we never hear "no team has ever come back from being down 0-3" again, the Heat squandered a 3 game lead and gave up a Finals appearance. If the Heat win, the Celtics lost to an 8 seed at home after running off 3 in a row to force game 7. If the Heat win no one will care about D White's shot, not really. If Celtics win D White's shot will be up there with Ray Allen's.

Both coaches know the implications if they lose. Spo is more protected, has overachieved. Don't know about the Celtic's coach.

The other debate about the Butler play was over whether he double-dribbled after losing the ball. The report said that Butler did not, with the explanation being that Butler "fumbles the ball out of his control when he ends his dribble, then recovers it and legally attempts a field goal."
