I guess Wemby’s done for the game. Hasn’t played since the 7 minute mark in the 3rd Qtr.

Well, at least Wemby had a few nice plays in garbage time there in the 4th. Overall pretty awful game - will be interesting to see how him and the Mets bounce back on Monday.

Only one thing to say about the Mets' performance today --- "Can anyone here play this game?"

If only he had Scoot Henderson, he would have won by a billion.

No second thoughts, but it does scare me because having this pick is the ultimate opportunity to become relevant again and he doesn’t work out lol

I'm fine with taking the risk. It would suck if he turned out to be a bust, but I don't believe Scoot is a guy you can build around as your franchise player. Historically small athletic guys don't lead their teams to les.

Feel more comfortable drafting him putting up numbers against pros than Miller against college kids or the Thompson twins against high school kids. Especially with the huge strides he took this year. And Scoot led his G-League team to barely a better win percentage than the Spurs had tanking for Wemby. But you're never drafting Tim Duncan again where you're getting someone who is an MVP level player on Day 1.

That’s true, I bought to much into the best prospect of all time narrative. It’ll definitely be a project with for a bit

Only two guys I would take over him at draft time this century would be LeBron and Doncic. LeBron looked like a Magic-Michael hybrid at 18 and Doncic was Euroleague MVP at 18. But if you ask me Mets92 Wemby vs Texas Durant, Kentucky Davis, or Memphis Derrick Rose at the level they were at when drafted I'm taking Wemby. Would probably take Wemby over Ohio State Oden too given the way the game is called now, though I would have definitely picked Oden over Wemby if the game was still played like it was in 2008.

Lol at people thinking he’s going to be a bust suddenly. He had a bad game today in large part because his team ing sucks. Some of it was his fault as well, but this is not a performance to panic over. Plus Wemby was always going to take time to develop. All the Hyperbolic “Greatest player since Lebron” stuff is just noise. Means nothing. He’s still a generational prospect though if he can stay healthy, and he should fair better at the NBA level where there’s much better spacing and he’s surrounded by much better talent.

This was Wemby’s game against this same Monaco club back in December.
