Jokic dominates but spurs team ball prevails, with Bobo still doing a great job with Tim to limit the joker and no one for the Nuggets to stop Nephew.

Aaron Gordon can slow Nephew tbh. Bobo would be a problem for them, and the Spurs have multiple elite defensive bigs to make Jokic work. Think this Nuggets team would take the 2014 Spurs to 6.

I think there are many comparisons to be drawn between the two teams, and this series in general...

But yeah, Spurs win in 5. Denver has won some chaotic games against a lesser Miami team.

Spurs completely schooled a Miami team with LeBron, Wade, Bosh, and a solid supporting cast.

I think that Spurs team matches up pretty well with the current Nuggets squad. Duncan/Splitter are as well equipped as any to handle Jokic, with Diaw able to give spot minutes as well. Stick Green or Kawhi on Murray as much as possible and just hide TP on guys like KCP or Bruce Brown.

    I’d take Spurs in 5 or 6.

Kinda get it with all the assists but our defense was pretty great. Also, kinda feels like Denver didn't have to play the best either.

Denver is a different kinda 2014-Spurs with a offensively dominant great player in Jokic.

Don't believe indeed anyone was stopping the Beautiful Game.

Lebron was in his prime but spurs just totally anihilated the Heat with the their team play and chemistry... Tiago, Tim and Boris making Jokic earn his points and Nephew disgusting Murray like he did with Bronbron.

Spurs in 5... there are very few teams in history that could beat the 2014 Spurs in a seven game series... Michael's Bulls...86 Celtics... very few..

Fify. 38 year old LeBron kept the Lakers in striking distance 3 of the WCF games vs Denver while the 2014 Spurs skull ed 29 year old LeBron in 3 of the games.

The Nuggets played a Lebron team that wasn't nearly as good as the Lebron team the Spurs played.

EDIT: LMAO BB literally said what I said a post before me. Great minds.

For the starters, put LDN on Murray. Put Parker on the weakest scorer (someone like KCP). MPJ is already looking like a choker so I have no doubt Kawhi would have shut him down. Take turns using Splitter/Diaw against their Gordon/Jokic duo.

Jokic would still be a handful but Spurs would have been able to neutralize the others.

Spurs could match their bench easily. Ginobili, Mills, Diaw or Splitter >>>> Braun, Brown, Jeff Green.

    Spurs in 6.

What the is this 6 ? The Nuggets barely escaped Lebron with an absolute team. They couldn't stop Rui Hachimura and Austin Reeves. The 2014 Heat would sweep them.

    Jesus.

2014 Spurs team would have won because of supreme depth and more veteran experience. That said, the Nugget team could beat Spurs 2007 and likely would beat them and certainly could be compe ive with 2005 and probably slightly better than 2003. Spurs 1999 team is a little hard to compare because that was an extreme reflection of 90s bruise and defense that just hasn't existed in the 2000s. Not sure how bruise and defense would fair in today's game.

Nuggets are what, closing in on 16-3. That's a dominant run.

That was a response to people saying Dwight Howard was better than Tim Duncan in, what, 2008? My statement is an infinitely better take than that. In fact, how did that statement age? Duncan went to the finals twice and captained a 67-win team in his final year. What did Dwight Howard do? Kevin Love is contributing to a finals team and Howard is in Taiwan.

It’s a great run led by an all time great player. But the league is mediocre otherwise. Okc would have won it all in this current league. I’m convinced even the 2014 Clippers would have had a shot at ringing today.

Yeah, I agree. Again, I don't like to take away from what Denver is doing, because they definitely will deserve their rings.

Nuggets could get away with Porter on Splitter. Not sure where the spurs hide their second big. Duncan on Jokic and Splitter on Gordon?
