You bet it's worth it. I don't understand why you consistently care more about having the morally righteous side of an argument than actually winning elections so that morally unrighteous laws can be stopped.

Parents of trans kids have had their rights stripped by Republican state legislatures over the past year, I care far more about the rights of hundreds (thousands?) of Texas parents to give care to their trans kids at the recommendation of their doctor than I do one or two of those kids being allowed to play sports, especially when there are innumerable other school activities to participate in: Band, theater, math club, debate, cheer, etc.

And you're being extremely tone deaf about the people who oppose trans girls competing in girls sports. They're not all phobes. That kind of loses elections too.
