How come it can be just 2m? Is there an understanding that he will be signed for more next year? It does not make sense that Spurs has not reached the salary floor

Overpay tbh. Spurs have no clue what they're doing.
    Big costly mistake

This guy is 45yo and literally cost us 2 championships. Can't believe this dumbass FO decided to bring him back tbh.

Why such a small salary, and why only 1 year? If the Spurs still need to get to the salary floor and were only signing him for 1-year, couldn't they have given him a bit more? Are they saving the money for something else? Very glad that he's back, though. I really like the guy. Hopefully he can help on the court.

Totally expected this re-signing given his presence at Wembanyama's introductory presser with the Spurs. Good deal for Spurs but kind of a slap in the face to Mamu. I mean at least make this signing get you to the salary floor.

He is the new Matt Bonner. Fact he was so happy to get a 2M 1 year deal tells me he has little upside. Good locker room guy, I think he’ll become besties with Wemby within a month.

Blake only makes $2.5 mill. Would you say he has little upside?

The only thing i'll give FO credit is they're not obnoxiously overpaying guys just to reach the floor, ok does tre deserve 10 without a jumpshot probably not but we needed some semblance of a point guard.

If the news about Sidy Cissoko signing a multiyear guaranteed contract is true, Spurs could just reach the floor just by adding Sidy with a Bassey-like contract and keeping Lamar Stevens for the training camp.

Spurs' bigmen are so young that they could really benefit adding a good vet (better than Dieng). Zollins is the only vet and he has struggled a lot with injuries. We'll see what they'll do.

Mamu is fun to watch, brings a really interesting skillset for a big, and truly seems to enjoy being a Spur. At the very least, he will be a good locker room presence but I think he is capable of more.

I am very pleased with this deal.

Edit: Plus we get to say MAMUUUUUU for one more season

    https://www.spotrac.com/nba/san-anto...2%2C019%2C706.

Spotrac is pretty reliable and has it as 1 year, the good news is that Mamu will be a RFA in case he has a breakout season. I saw the 2 year thing during the game as well.

So the Spurs are now like $4 million from the floor.

Is that Gorgui Dieng music I hear?
Should be a PG. We can't go with Tre, Graham and Wesley as our PG rotation, tbh.

Did they just release Stevens? I think Barlow is making a good case for a contract
