Come in here to and whine about not taking this guy at 33 and instead getting him at 44.

Or talk about the nice basket of skills he already has, if he hasn't put it together.

Or talk about how he fouls way too much and does some Zach/Jeremy level shady stuff on the court.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senegalese_cuisine

The cuisine of Senegal is a West African cuisine influenced by North African, French, and Portuguese cuisine and derives from the nation's many ethnic groups, the largest being the Wolof. Islam, which first penetrated the region in the 11th century, also plays a role in the cuisine. Senegal was a colony of France until 1960. Ever since its colonization, emigrants have brought Senegalese cuisine to many other regions.
Because Senegal borders the Atlantic Ocean, fish is very important in Senegalese cooking. Chicken, lamb, peas, eggs, and beef are also used, but pork is not due to the nation's largely Muslim population.
Peanuts, the primary crop of Senegal, as well as couscous, white rice, sweet potatoes, lentils, black-eyed peas and various vegetables, are also incorporated into many recipes.
Meats and vegetables are typically stewed or marinated in herbs and es, and then poured over rice or couscous, or eaten with bread.
Popular fresh juices are made from bissap, ginger, bouye (pronounced 'buoy', which is the fruit of the baobab tree, also known as "monkey bread fruit"), mango, or other fruit or wild trees (most famously soursop, which is called corossol in French).
Desserts are very rich and sweet, combining native ingredients with the extravagance and style characteristic of the French impact on Senegal's culinary methods. They are often served with fresh fruit and are traditionally followed by coffee or tea. Tea, known as attaya, is served in a ritualistic fashion.

comment from a guy who played with him:

I had the chance to play with him when he was a kid, and again 1 year ago in the summer. He is a very very talented guy. Versatile, calm on the court, athletic, strong as f for a guard, good finishing, great vision. I really think he is a shooter. When he was a kid he had an amazing shooting touch and i think hes gonna be very good at it in a few years with some adjustments.

He had a very big growth spurt a few years ago, and i think he is still adjusting to shooting with is new body. That was also his first year in the us and we saw that at the end of the year he was much better. I think for the moment we should see him as a swiss knife, who can bring you a bit of everything on a court withouth making a lot of mistakes, i think he will get quickly a few minutes in rotation, for his ability to make the right choice offensively and to play defense on different positions. Mentaly he seems like a great guy, calm, stable, gives everything on a court, great entourage and family that know basketball.

His ceiling is also very high, it will depend of his ability to became elite in some aspects of his game. For now i think at nba level, he is good at almost all aspect of the game, wich makes him interesting for any team, but not elite in any of them. If he can be elite in some, he can really be a star. Hope the best for him, he deserves it.

    op be like:

i like the pick at 44 tho. as is the case with so many players... his success will in large part depend on whether he can become a more consistent 3 point shooter. not only is the league more demanding now when it comes to shooting ability, but as the years have gone by, the average age of draft picks has plummeted, so a lot of these guys coming in are unrefined, and that sticks out with their shooting as much as anything else

For those claiming otherwise, Cissoko was getting thoughts about the twenty range, even higher at some points.

I was pretty in line with consensus overall but he was top 10 on my big board - it's a bit simplistic, but if you've got NBA size & athleticism, high skill level (I don't know why no-one talks about Sidy's handle?), high feel AND you're compe ive af...then I don't know how you fall out of the lotto. Love that he landed with SA and look forward to rooting for him for the years to come!

The more I watch of him, the more I like the pick. He’s very grounded, hardworking, persistent. Left home at 14 to pursue his dream. He mentioned crying every week missing his family, but continued to work hard. Sent the money he made to his family who worked hard to support him. Very mature for his age. He played PG in Europe but transitioned when asked to play SF in the G-League. I suspect Pop would use him to push the ball on occasions, rim run and finish every opportunity. It’s very easy to like this kid and root for him. Let’s go Sidy!

if the #57 pick is signing a big league contract, does that say anything about whether cissoko is open to a two-way?

I think this is more proof that draft order in the second round doesn't mean much. Rupert got two guaranteed years at #43, and supposedly he only fell that far because Portland made him a promise and asked other teams not to draft him.

Spurs forward Sidy Cissoko's participation in summer league will be limited following arthroscopic knee surgery.

A procedure to clean up lingering damage to his right knee was performed last month. The second-year player will practice with the team's summer league squad next week, but he will be on the sidelines in Sacramento when the Spurs play three games in the California Classic beginning July 6.

Why would they wait so long to have the procedure?

SF, IMO. A playmaking big wing archetype. Like a mini-Diaw.

Given he's better as a ball handler than shooter, it's either with the ball or as a slasher/rebounder put backs. He really does not fit into any current position and certainly none of the *current NBA position definitions. He's more of an old school PF with maybe more athleticism.

A good eye for the game is a skill. The Spurs had a guy like that on the Austin team a few years back. But as much as he passed the eye test, he never moved the needle. He just didn't register like he was there.

Cissoko has a good eye for the game. You can see it. But he has to be able to score and rebound and defend. This year will decide if he's going to be an NBA player or not.

Size and strength and secondary ball handler all are intriguing
    If he could only shoot
