Keldon is a really good shooter. We lose sight of that.
Is he, though? He shot a below average % from 3 in 2 out of 3 full seasons. And even if his shot is for real, his defense isn't. I see his future being more of a guy that puts up pts coming off the bench, but not overly impactful on a winning team, tbh.

Maybe he can be an OKC Harden equivalent for us off the bench.

He should be the McDermott replacement tbh. Although McDermott is like the only real vet on our team, the Spurs could deal his expiring contract around the trade deadline and let Champagnie take his spot. Julien moves well off the ball and can fill it up from 3 as well, while being a way better defender

I was just thinking this. If you squint real hard, you can kinda see Harden in the way he plays.

Harden was always a p-n-r maestro, while Champagnie is an off ball shooter/scorer.

    Is he championship good?

Would you design plays for him in the last seconds of big playoff games?

No, but the Spurs still need to find that type of player somewhere and I don't see Keldon being that player.

Yeah I don't get the Harden comparisons at all. Champagnie is much more finisher than facilitator.

Definitely more of a MPJ than a Harden.

His brother had a strong game tonight. My theory is only one can play well in the same day.

I have to give kudos to Champ. His defense is getting better, even guarding Markkanen and denying him to get to Lauri’s sweet spots. I know Vassell will eventually get the SL back, but Champ is for sure making a case for himself. Him in the SL is acting pretty balance. Besides it allows more touches for Castle without Vassell in the SL. And Vassell, Keldon and Sochan can do real damage against other teams 2nd unit. It’s not going to happen, but it makes one think with the way Champ is playing defense.
