Between LNB playoffs and 2 Summer League games there is a lot of tape on Victor before the season starts this fall.

Pretty unique situation to already see like a dozen games by the #1 pick at this point in the process.

Vic was playing against 30 year old pros in France a month ago. Was weird seeing people melt over his Summer League performance like we have at least 3 games per round at postseason intensity against much better players but you want to look at the most low effort pick up scrimmage skewed data in the tiniest 2 games of sample sizes?

It's almost like this was already known just by looking at the TV schedule when it was released.

Good move. Can’t wait until he’s playing next to Sochan, Keldon and Vassell.

Now that wembymania is over, we can get back to the Champagnie show
    Dude was a steal …
    I actually liked him
    As a prospect
I don’t think he a star but has fringe starter/high level bench player potential with work

San Antonio's cuisine can easily put 30 lbs on him before October. Smart move.

after seeing what happened to both scoot and amen, this is a smart move. now get him back to SA and start getting him to work. and no jamal crawford charity games for wemby.
There's literally no reason why any player drafted in the top 20 should be playing summer league. In the grand scheme of things, it does absolutely nothing. You have 3 months of off season between now and the start of the season. You're not fighting for roster spots.

Wembanyama has the scoring touch of Ice, the athleticism and shot blocking of young DRob, and post moves and demeanor of Duncan. Maybe it’s late but man the kid is otherworldly.

I agree with this. Scoot gets hurt playing a game basically designed to weed out the NBA level role players from the rest. These high draft guys should wait until training camp.

Kawhi never went to SL. They saw him shoot at the combine, although accidentally. He was waiting to do drills, got bored, picked up a ball and put up some shots. After the draft for a few days, he worked with Chip, then the owners locked the players out on July 1st until December. No summer league.

I want him to relax and enjoy himself for a month of vacation because he really wants and deserves that. No hard training and maybe he can gain a couple kilos.

Yeah, I honestly don't see the point of getting wemby or any top prospect out there for a couple games or so, specially after the media whirlwind they have to go through, that's calling for trouble. Victor himself explained how these past few weeks have only been 50% about BB for him.

It does absolutely nothing for these kids and SL is for fringe guys to showcase their talent and/or try to get a contract. I suppose the NBA doesn't want the fans to wait 4-5 months to see these kids play. just a little tease between the draft and the start of the season.

    Sochan isn't better.

He had Covid last year and that's why he sat out summer league.

How about no training camp or practicing either until after opening night so we for sure get that, put him in a bubble I'd be for that.

Didn’t mean straight after being drafted. Think it was a SL of a following season where they wanted to see what he had shooting the ball from the perimeter. They watched, licked their lips and shut it down.
