California judge Jeffrey Ferguson, 72, is arrested 'for shooting his wife dead': Cops remove arsenal of weapons from $1.4 million Anaheim home
A Southern California judge has been arrested on su ion of killing his wife in the couple's home, authorities said Friday.
Orange County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Ferguson was arrested late Thursday after police received reports of a shooting at the $1.4 million Anaheim Hills home.
Once they arrived, they found the judge's wife, Sheryl Ferguson, shot and she was declared dead at the scene in the upscale neighborhood, said Anaheim police Sgt. Jon McClintock.
Ferguson is being held on $1 million bail and is expected to appear in court on Monday. He has not yet been formally charged.
McClintock said one other person was at the home at the time but declined to say who the person was or whether they were among the callers who notified police of the shooting.
It was not immediately possible to determine whether Ferguson has an attorney.
Ferguson serves as a judge handling criminal cases in a courthouse in the Orange County city of Fullerton. He previously worked in the Orange County District Attorney's office, and prosecuted drug cases, according to the North Orange County Bar Association.
During his time as a prosecutor, he was honored as an 'attorney of the year' by the association. He served as its president from 2012 to 2014.
'This is a very tragic situation for all involved,' Lorrie A. Walton, a current member of the association's board, said in an email.
Ferguson took a seat on the bench in 2015. Two years later, he was admonished by the Commission on Judicial Performance for posting a statement on Facebook about a judicial candidate 'with knowing or reckless disregard for the truth of the statement' and for being Facebook friends with attorneys appearing before him in court, according to a copy of the agency's findings.
Ferguson said on his Facebook page that he grew up in a military family and traveled throughout Asia as a child. He went on to attend college and law school in California. He and his wife were married in 1996.
He was previously married to another woman and they had a son. He and Sheryl Ferguson have another son together, said Juli Mitc , the sister of his ex-wife.
On Friday, the Orange County Superior Court declined to provide additional information about the allegations.
'Although no case has been filed with our Court, when appropriate we will take all necessary steps to ensure full compliance with our legal and ethical obligations,' Orange County Superior Court Presiding Judge Maria Hernandez said in a statement.

Not really Newsom territory considering he only won his recall election by like 3 points in OC. White boomer with arsenal of weapons definitely sounds like a Democrat judge though.
Ferguson could be a good candidate for Trump or Deathsantis to nominate to the Supreme Court tbh
OC used to be R+25 or something like that, like Waukesha county in Wisconsin
Still is. Huge collection of NIMBY bags, perennially butthurt that the GOP imploded in the State.
Pay your reparations, white and pipe down,,,,
Nail 'em up, Hemi. Tree of Woe......crucify him.
Gonna be hard to get that back after Trump raised all those Orange County Republicans' taxes.
Orange County flipped for Hillary, not Biden.
Huh? Orange County hasn't even voted (R) majority since 2012, and even then it was a slim margin.
I'm talking about in the 1980s and 1990s, even when the state flipped from forever red to slightly blue for Clinton, mostly due to the surge in Silicon Valley and LA, but Orange County stayed ruby red for a long time.
The NIMBY bag white snobs are Democrat-majority these days. Look at how quickly the white Dems deported those dirty thug illegal aliens out of Martha's Vineyard, but they want to sick those sewer rats on red states. White liberals are the biggest hypocrites in the universe.
Lot of re ed white evangelicals out there but not enough for that to have been a good strategy for Trump there. But his big tax increase on them sealed the deal when Orange County Republicans got decimated in the 2018 midterms.
True, because they hate white evangelicals and their culture war and Trump raised their taxes so he and thus the GOP that he has taken over does nothing absolutely for them. Biden and Clinton are more in line with the 1990s style Republicans that appeal to populated once red areas of California. OC voters didn't move, both parties moved significantly to the right with the GOP running right past them and the Democrats meeting them. The NIMBY bag white snobs are Democrat-majority these days.
LOL at suggesting "both parties moved significantly to the right" or "the overton window has moved" rightward AT ALL since the 1990s.
Since the 1990s:
-Gay Marriage has been legalized in all 50 states, repealing DOMA
-Marijuana is legal in most states, at least medicinally and a lot recreationally
-Gas prices have risen more than threefold and nearly 100 times greater than the rate of inflation
-Electric vehicles and hybrids have become a thing
-The idea of a radical green new deal "carbon tax"
-Gay and Trans culture has been normalized by the mainstream media
-The Redskins and Indians no longer exist
-Social media and far-left BigTech
-China's economy has positively exploded, largely thanks to Democrats being soft on China
-Woke left-wing DEI and LGBT+ counterculture has been normalized
-The culture of the USA has been flooded with minorities, from mainstream daily life to TV and movies
-White replacement is a real thing and a real problem
-The Paris Climate Accord
-The U.S. Climate Alliance
-Obamacare
I could list other examples, but anyone who says the "overton window" per se hasn't moved DRAMATICALLY leftward since the 1990s is a ing moron living under a rock.
The one and ONLY one right-wing change was last year's Roe v Wade overruling, but that only affected abortion in the red states, since the blue and even purple and some lighter-red states overwhelmingly rejected abortion bans in 2022.
Democrats have moved hard right economically ever since Clinton. LOL Romneycare being a left wing plan when it was proposed by GOP senators in the early 90s and actually implemented by Romney. LOL social media getting Trump elected and taken over by Musk being leftwing. Also ROFL at the idea of the mass media being leftwing when the supposedly most left cable channel MSNBC had Chris Matthews on there ing about how Bernie Sanders would have people like him executed if he became president. Nevermind there is an extremely strong and extremely hard right mass media presence dominating the radio airwaves (ClearChannel), dominating cable news (Fox News), and dominating local news (Sinclair).

Also if you want to talk about inflation, the mass media loves to push propaganda to manufacture consent for price increases. For example pushing the avian flu story relentlessly to try to excuse egg prices going to when it was really producers just raising their prices to pad their profits. No way you can call a mass media that relentlessly pushes pro business propaganda as anything but right wing.
BB what caught your eye bout this story? I watched alot of forensic files, it's usually a romantic partner
^^^ talking about perennially butthurt... rofl
Huh? These were the results last year:

It's one of the final places where the GOP can still be heard in CA. No surprise Tim Scott is visiting Anaheim next month.
I don't deny that's plenty of white dem baggery as well, tbh. That said, the moment a city council wants to buy a run down hotel to turn it into housing for low-income people, the very first in line that show up to complain are former GOP politicos. I say 'former', because even those bags are now running as either Democrat or "non-partisan", despite having 20+ years in the GOP. It's just that if they really say they're conservatives, they have no chance.
Not like he has much time left on this earth.
