It does not seem unreasonable to float the idea of letting Russia keep Crimea as part of a peace deal. Similarly it is not unreasonable for the Ukrainians to want the Russians to honor their treaty they reneged on.
I am not sure what point you think you are making here.
My point is this war needs to wind down and that clearly there are others in the West who think territorial losses for Ukraine are on the table in order to do so.
