I care much less about each of Trump's individual cases and whether he's found guilty and goes to jail or gets away with it and goes off to some secret Russian resort to live the rest of his life.
For me personally, and I'm not speaking on behalf of anybody else, it's the biggest news story because he's running for president again and he's the leading ing Republican candidate, despite these legal problems. And maybe because of the legal problems, his cult following is even more supportive and crazier than ever. If he wasn't running for president, if he wasn't the leading Republican candidate, it would not be the biggest news story. For me. If he dropped out and fled the country never to be heard from again, cool. I wouldn't care about him or anything about his criminal cases. But he's using the next election to continue his brain washing campaign over that particular segment of the country, to continue to divide the country and even his own party, to encourage hate and threats on anyone opposing him.
Flee the country, hide, and stay out of the news forever until he breathes his last breath, and he's not a news story to me. But good luck getting him off social media...
