Finally, his "friends" at the Supreme Court never intervened on his behalf with a ten-foot pole, so, he lost again, bigly.

Texas Senate is deliberating charges against Paxton. Who knows how long it will take.
Just before noon Friday, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick adjourned suspended Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's impeachment trial after the Texas House impeachment managers and Paxton's defense team presented their closing arguments.
Patrick instructed the 30 eligible senators to head to a deliberation room and discuss the 16 articles of impeachment against Paxton to decide if the attorney general is guilty or innocent of the charges, including bribery and abuse of office.

Some of the garbage spewed by the kunt paxton attorney today- in the defense’s closing statements-maybe some of this sounds familiar to some here;
1) “ if this can happen to General Paxton- this can happen to you”
2). “There was only one person in the AG’s office who had the authority to make ANY decision he wanted to- make- and he had the authority to make any decision and every decision he made - by definition was legal”
3)” 4.2 million voters gave General paxton that authority and none of the bureaucrats in that office had any authority to disobey any order and go behind the generals back to the fbi”
4) “4.2 million voters (again) put general paxton in his position and no other unelected bureaucrat should go against the will of 4.2 million texas voters (again) and try to remove him”
5)” General paxton has done nothing wrong”
6) “there is no evidence….blah blah”
7) “4.2 million voters…..”

The high water mark is 14 out of th21 needed votes. I'm not sure what people were expecting out of the puritanical Texas GOP.

CNN ain't biting on this one. That's an indicator that Paxton will get off. If CNN/MSNBC thought he was going down they'd be prefacing it all over their Internet front page. Instead they got a gaggle of pictured slopes accused of starving a fellow zipperhead to death.
