After Ukraine, would you be ok if he invaded some place like Armenia too?
Isn't that what Azerbaijan has already done?

Man, you would've wanted the Soviet Union to expand as well. Your worldview is pretty clear now.
Another strawman argument... You're getting really sloppy.

Um.there is only one country asking for their male refugees back and banning its fighting age women from traveling abroad.

    Thou do the math
I realize you're just trolling but this is actually accurate.

Sadly, you've got people on this board who just bury their head in the sand at the thought of Ukraine casualties.

Then why can’t you make a compelling case for spending another $100B on this war or even half that?
In the economics sense, it's actually harder to make a compelling case for not spending another $100B. With a military budget of $2.04T for FY2023, $100B is a rounding error.

For that money, you get to militarily and economically challenge a nuclear powered fascist country with expansionist ambitions that wants to challenge the west' democratic and capitalist systems and geopolitical supremacy.

And that without having to even put boots on the ground. What's not compelling about that? Heck, what's the compelling case against that?

...because early on the numbers were frightening, so, Blinken, Biden & Z decided to freeze that number at 6,600 KIA, a month later there were no numbers released running up thru today. & they'll never be released.

    (They) got the moneyPERIOD

That will be a drop in the bucket to the total # in the end, El.

expansionist ambitions that wants to challenge the west' democratic and capitalist systems and geopolitical supremacy.

LOL. That "supremacy" spent day 1 of their duly elected President threatening to blow him, his wife and their old child up in the White House.

The trajectory of the defense budgets is an unsustainable travesty that we can't afford now...

That $100B or even $300B seems small relative to the total is actually an argument in favor of not spending even more.

First, you have to back up that claim. But overall, this was a tune to bring up in times of peace. We’re not in times of peace anymore. You yourself brought up Taiwan as well, so you’re aware of this. Add Russia to that.

That naive view was also adopted by Europe post-WW2, and now they have Russia in their backyard again. Would be wise to learn a thing or two about history.

Plus, realistically speaking, how much do you really think is going to cost the US to ensure Russia respects whatever borders are drawn when they didn’t respect Crimea? How would that not just be a ruse to re-arm and continue their advance, how do you enforce that and at what cost?

How do we know that even if they take back Crimea that Russia doesn't rearm and try again to take it back?

So all those lives lost and money spent and we could be right back where we started and not have even solved that specific problem you purport to solve.

But that's tomorrow, even thousands of tomorrows. Sure, Z is thinking a million tomorrows till Russia comes back for (it). All Biden, and by his leave Blinken are thinking about is tomorrow. Tomorrow-TomorrowPERIOD

Kinda like the Weaver family up at Ruby Ridge when the F.B.I. & ATF got done with 'em. Destroyed everything they owned, shot wife Vicki and their young son in the back, then walked away from it with nary care in the world.

McVeigh hunted the bas s and squared it all with the house. True empathy is an all encompassing guardian wherever man dwells.

Nothing but outright capitulation is compelling to you. Imperial expansion by Russia should be stopped. If you can't see why, you have much bigger problems than disappointment at not being compelled on SpursTalk.
Why is it the USA job to use American taxpayers money ?
    Why not the un?
Why the USA taxpayer jobs . America tax payers are broke and the USA government is broke.

You know russia could get someone else worse than Putin.
USA got someone much worse then trump
    His name is biden
