Nothing in any of his statements states clearly and explicitly that Ukraine's full territorial integrity must be preserved at our expense. Let me repost from the article...
He clearly and explicitly states both that it's “up to Ukraine to decide how or when or if they will negotiate with the Russians.” and that (the United States would) “continue to support Ukraine as long as it takes to keep them free”.

He's stating in no uncertain terms that the decision about territorial integrity or any other concessions will be decided by the Ukranians and we will continue to support them "as long as it takes" for them to make those decisions freely.

There is plenty to gain from Ukraine in NATO. They have one of the strongest armies in Europe, if not the strongest, and certainly the most experienced. Only one "neighboring nation" would be "instigated" and their opinion on this issue does not matter.

EU membership is far harder to complete than NATO and lets not forget all this started over path to EU membership in 2014, NATO was never even considered back then, so that would be just as "instigating" to their ty neighbor.

The land is not Russian, there is nothing to "return" to them. They have plenty of their own land.
With Turkey and Hungary leaning towards authoritarianism, it becomes an important geopolitical center as well.

Agriculture is very politically sensitive in Europe.

Poland allows Ukraine's gain to transit through the country. However, they are blocking Ukraine's grain from be dumped into the local market.

It's a bigger deal than you might think. These kinds of disputes are going to make getting Ukraine into the EU much harder.
    It should be hard.
NATO already made a mistake by admitting Turkey.
You cant kill your own journalists and people is not to difficult a task to ask of a nation.
There are a number of other human rights issues that completely separate countries like Russia, China, Syria, Saudi Arabia, N. Korea, Iran that makes it impossible for them to be considered governments the world should strive to emulate. The West has not got it all correct. But at least the West strives to tell on itself and discuss basic human rights. The countries mentioned do not try to hide the fact that they are repressive regimes ruled by criminal leader(s).

NATO is a far from perfect alliance but it is crystal clear NATO needs to be functional now. And it is. You cant have countries like Russia just invading country by country like they have done over the past 20 years and tearing up any chance of a country to experience democracy. Democracy is very difficult to set up and difficult to keep functional. But it is the foundation needed to set up basic human rights. Ukraine was giving it a go. Trying to transition from a corrupt badly functioning government to a democratic one that Zelensky earmarked getting rid of corruption as a central tenet. Its yet another reason, besides obvious economic reasons, to keep them free of a rotting Russia and a tiny dictator president for life.
AGAIN. Ukraine is absolutely necessary to keep the EU functional as a trading partner. Looking at Poland's government is another reason to be worried. This is a critical area of the world for an actually economic life Europe that experiences bouts of doubt about the value of democracy and human rights. I would even argue people like Thread and hater very much dislike the idea of any kind of government that does not involve a dictator. If you want revenge on a group of people, Having a dictator is your best bet. This is what people like hater and Thread thrive on. And having a dictator is you best bet for creating threats concerning basic human rights. Including economic values and the rule of law to guide economic values. Its bigger than one country. Much bigger.

And yes UT has very slow safeties starting a certain pair. Look at Wyoming's touchdown. Safety has the angle and is completely out run. Thats a 4.8 forty yard dash safety. QB inconsistency and the running game need to be fixed as well. Also, I dont see how at this time of year rankings are even close to accurate so that #3 spot is dubious. Top 10, yes. Because of the overall defense UT has this year. Completely different 2nd halves this year for UT because of defense. We need the freshman RB Baxter to play along with Brooks. Should help the running game if that pair can play a whole game assuming the Oline begins to gel as a functional unit.
