As a Bama Alum I wanted him back there this year but good on defense with an improving offensive game. A developmental big.
Sorry for another thread but saw he was added as a training camp invite and I’m sure he’ll be on the summer league team as well.

He had a workout with the Spurs, a player on the radar for a few years. Good shotblocker , a rim running big.
Chris Haynes: Undrafted center Charles Bediako out of Alabama agrees to a one-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, his agent Daniel Green of greensportsmgmt tells @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.
Doesn't sound like a training camp deal, but has to be right? Or is he getting a 2-way?
I saw that from Haynes too idk is it one of the weird exhibit 10 contracts or whatever?

Osborn confirmed it’s an unguaranteed training camp deal.
Austin fodder, potential Bassey replacement?
bediako defensively at Bama was good though so he’s definitely worth the 2 way if it came to that, someone else sniffed around.
The Spurs have signed Charles Bediako, likely training camp deal per Paul Garcia
Should be a two way already. He is already signed to a camp deal last June along with Milner.
Bediako would be great if he can develop consistent outside shots.
His length is impressive but wasn't impressed with skill. He looked like someone who just started playing in their teens. Seemed gangly n uncoordinated
He is a rim protector and a lob threat. I think there is a potential to play along a passing big man like Wemby who draws double, triple team.
Our 2way spots are now either for holding a roster spot for conversion late in the year (Barlow, Bassey last year), or Austin roster improvement. I don’t consider them developmental slots, with all of the picks we have.
Every spot should be developmental. For all we know in 2 years time Zollins is gone, tre is gone, branham and Wesley have failed, Sochan hasn’t improved, Vassell just played out an rfa tender and signed elsewhere, etc etc
not enough knowns on the team to just write off development resources
We have more FRPs than we have roster spots opening in the next few years. Your absolutely pessimistic scenario could play out, and we still wouldn’t need 2ways for development. You don’t have to buy into that, it’s just the way I see it.
So who is the 3rd two way along side Rice and Barlow right now?
Do we know?
here we go boys. roster set at 15, all three 2-way slots filled. everyone healthy. time to go

Not disappointed with this signing. Some potential there.
I’m rooting for this guy to work on his offense, mid-range, post moves. He’s athletic and could be an elite post defender at C position, and only 21. Very much in Spurs timeline. Good stuff.
