reportedly, Trump's whole reason for overstating his value -- besides getting favorable terms on loans -- was to maintain his position in the Forbes 400.
    What an ego!

So? it was reported yesterday as news. It was cleared up today. Big ing deal.
the republicans are pretty simple and straightforward.

They say "i want you to be very miserable. and i want you to be very angry. and i want you to vote for us, and we'll make it worse, but we'll blame the democrats."

You're nary better. Nary. Trump wins and immediately you threaten to blow him, his wife and their only child up.
You're nary better. Nary. Trump gets in there without getting blown up and you threaten to cut his head off.
You're nary better. Nary. Trump gets threatened by the highest ranking soldier in American Democracy/Gen Milley by shooting said Trump to death.

A day after receiving a tongue lashing from a judge disturbed by Donald Trump’s insolence outside the New York courtroom, the former president began to make exasperated remarks inside the court, as the third day of his bank fraud trial started Wednesday.

The increasingly furious Trump—whose real estate empire has already received the kiss of death from the judge—remained quiet during the first two days of proceedings, instead choosing to rail against the entire justice system outside the room’s wooden doors. But when Justice Arthur F. Engoron noted that typical formalities could be cast aside because there’s no jury here, Trump began to grumble and angrily folded his arms while staring at the judge.

Trump turned to defense lawyer Alina Habba at his left to complain in loud groans—this reporter could only make out the words “no jury!”—then threw his arms up and shook his head.

The former president then let out an annoyed sigh and slumped forward, stretching his dark blue suit jacket.

Just before the trial got underway on Wednesday, he was even louder online, where he wrote, “I am not even en led, under any cir stances, to a JURY. This Witch Hunt cannot be allowed to continue. It is Election Interference and the start of Communism right here in America!”

Minutes later, Trump then complained in court that he couldn’t make out what was being said by the witness on the stand: his longtime former accountant Donald Bender, who became a state witness and disavowed much of the work he did for the Trump Organization and its vastly inflated assets. The testimony could be perceived as a betrayal given that Bender made millions at the firm Mazars USA by working for the Trump family, which invited him to golf courses, hotels, and parties.

Trump is all about loyalty. He was seething listening to him spill his secrets.

Don't both parties have to agree to waive their right to a jury trial?

As I understand it, Trump was confident the disclaimer on the audit would get him off the hook on the charges and agreed to a trial by judge because it is typically faster than a jury trial and he could "get it out of the way" quicker. A strategic up.

ty lawyers. I'm pretty sure he didn't do it for the extra money or at least not primarily. I think he did it for the Forbes list. Why anyone would want to vote for that guy?

My guess is that his behavior and the jury trial error are strategic on two parts:

    1) favor additional sympathy from the mouth-breathing faction of his base and
    2) garner more arguments upon appeal

#2 is likely to fail, but #1 will largely succeed.

I'm sure it would be common for the state to opt for a bench trial. I'm not sure why they would ever request a jury trial, barring a disastrously judge appointment?

    2) That's it & that's all. With the gravest of caveats; will this SC line-up be the exact same when we need it & will they help him off Walenda's high wire to safety, or, push him off?

Well, when a man, a sitting President and his family is threatened with being blown up, he is threatened to be decapitated and shot to death sympathy is only human.

Today, Yam s' lawyers were wasting time asking Yam s' former accountant Donald Bender lengthy questions about specifics from 2020 to 2011.

The defense lawyer repeatedly asked the same tedious and detailed questions for each year. They pissed off New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron who said "You're not allowed to waste time. That is what this is becoming."

Imagine pissing off the judge who has determined that Yam s has committed fraud and the trial is to determine if Yam s gets 12 inches unlubed or stars as one of the two participants in a donkey show (and he is not the donkey).
