The Wemby/Vassell show. Will be interesting to see how that develops. Wemby getting a ton of isolated work.

The ball movement looks much better to start the half court so far. Branham, vassell, tre have no problem moving the ball to start the offense. Looks healthier than it did last year.

Make it 5 for Vassell, this one on a nice step-back.

We'll have to see it in real NBA compe ion, but dude is making it look easy out there right now

Wemby does not seem to know where he's running as a PF when the team runs. He's definitely used to being a wing. Has run to wing areas multiple times and then realizes he's in the wrong spot.

I see that as a good thing. He really hasn't had a lot of solid coaching. Everything that has been seen so far, has been without solid coaching. His decision making is still real raw and it shows. He's got so much room to grow. That's exciting.

Vassell looks unguardable. Wemby has been invisible. More slow footed on defense than I’d expect

Cedi and Bassey stood out to me other than Vassell. May have bigger roles than many of us thought.

Would have enjoyed it more if the two seasoned play-by-play guys, Schoening and Castro, had called the game. Still fun.

Wemby was looking for the ball more than he was looking for teammates. He has that tunnel vision issue from summer league still. Needs to move and create opportunities off movement. Seems pretty selfish as a player still. He's going to have some rough games when reality hits him on that type of playing not translating in the NBA.

They took him off the court when this issue was bad in the 4th. Maybe gave him a pep talk, he came back in and started running hard to his spots but eventually reverted to stopping and waiting for the ball again.

Maybe his conditioning really is an issue like he said himself.

This is Vassells team. No doubt about that.

None of this is true and I don't know what game you were watching.

    Cedi is a keeper
    Zach played pretty good
    Vassell had it going
    Wemby was chucking it up
Wesley had nice looks but needs to do more when he has the ball
    Branham was invisible
Barlow almost pissed Zach off by trying to score too much inside
    Jabari has a nice floater
Julian had a nice dunk and i think will have a big year this year

all in all, i think what i learned from this scrimmage is that Julian and Cedi will have a lot of minutes in the rotation

maybe Mamu too, his shot looks nice.

We'll certainly learn more very shortly once pre-season starts, but based on this scrimmage - what does everyone feel the rotations will look like?

Fun scrimmage, but obviously just a glorified practice. Still cool that the Spurs do this for the fans, even with its faults

Guys were obviously just messing around and not REALLY playing defense...but there were some bright spots including Vassell, Champ, Mamu, and even Collins was doing a bit of everything. Wemby never really got involved and definitely looks raw at NBA speed but I also don't think they were really running any sets around him

Monday will be more telling as far as real compe ion, rotation, and just what to expect going forward. Basketball season is upon us!

They said due to “soreness”, but pretty sure it’s because the coaches already know how they both play and wanted more minutes for other players.

Why would you think that? Why would that be a thing?
