Is this the House “red wave” of 2020?
No, we're still back after Trump made President. We'll be stuck there, Effy, forever.

Red Wave was supposed to be in 2022 also, as a backlash against Biden. The GOP was supposed to have 5+ Senators in the Senate and nearly a supermajority in the house according to themselves/their supporters.
Horse , that was according to CNN so it would get the D's off their asses and into the drop boxes.

We took the House, by God and the Governorship's as well, Cry.

The Dems also flipped control of the MN state senate, MI state house, MI state senate and PA state house without losing control of any state leg chamber they had going into 2022, while they prevented a supermajority in Wisconsin and NC (the NC GOP subsequently obtained a supermajority by getting a Dem to flip but that’s irrelevant to the topic at hand.

2022 was like the first time in modern US politics where the in bent party net flipped state leg chambers in a midterm

I’m really glad this dysfunction is happening at just the right time to the gop in Virginia state leg elections and in the PA Supreme Court elections. I think the Dems would definitely be headed for defeat in VA without this.

It is hard to keep up with the MAGAs as their messaging is so confusing.

Back in 2020, Yam s was calling for a red wave. “Polls numbers are looking very strong. Big crowds, great enthusiasm. Massive RED WAVE coming!!!”

    https://www.business-standard.com/presidential-elections-2020-donald-trump-predicts-a-red-wave

Then there was the red tsunami in 2022 which also petered out.

    https://www.wsj.com/podcasts/the-journal/why-the-red-wave-didnt-happen

Really, how can anyone believe their messaging, unless they are poorly educated.

    C’est la vie

The GOP started with more governorships before the 2022 elections than they had after. You’re moving the goalposts on what you mean but it doesn’t make any sense. The verb “took” implies they won something they didn’t already have. By your new definition they already had “the governorships” and there was nothing for them to take.

It is hilarious watching you proclaim the GOP losing AZ, MA and MD while only flipping Nevada a successful gubernatorial midterm tho

its truly astonishing to see how inept the AZ GOP is. legitimately keep trotting out worst possible candidates and then wondering why they are losing.

blake masters/kari lake the obvious faceplant in 2022

martha mcsally's whole saga is truly hilarious. losing in 2018, ducey nevertheless appointing her after mccain dies, and then she loses that very seat in 2020

now lake the frontrunner to win the primary for the senate race ... though that one is weird if sinema confirms she's going to run as an independent

georgia is still another herschel walker or two away from reaching AZ status of inep ude though. kemp is a solid candidate there without being a maga

When you realize that Dale is a pretty accurate representation of the median Arizona GOP primary voter, it starts to make sense how they trot out the craziest possible candidates every time
