Wemby suddenly making GS and its stars outdated and kinda lost. We're seeing a transtion here, from yesterday's to today's NBA, with that strange feeling everybody on the court, the crowd and in front of their screens realizing that. Curry, Klay, Paul lookng like powerless kids in front of the new face and reality of the NBA.
Sochan's defense on Steph is impeccable.

Wemby with a way better 1st quarter than the 2nd, he seemed a little winded as well. Dunno how much Pop's gonna play him in the second half.

This game feels like coming full circle. I remember back in 2012 or so when Steph was on the rise that the spurs, still near the top of their game, were like “WTF is this” with the Splash Brother thing. They new it was gonna be a problem soon, even tho they could still handle them at the time. Now it’s the Warriors feeling that way and Spurs coming up. Fun to see

The Spurs' offense is a load. They're so young but their attacks and decisions are so fast it's hard to keep up with them. Kudos to the coaching staff and how much work these guys put in.

My only critique right now is that the Spurs should be getting Wemby some easier opportunities down low. Things sometimes feel unnecessarily hard/forced for Wemby.
I am liking the mismatches Wemby creates on offense. Zach has been the beneficiary in the paint so far, who gets to work on a smaller player
Like, it's not a mistake they dropped 72 on the Warriors in the half. It's preseason but the Warriors are working on defense. What I see is that the young Spurs are recognizing the mismatches extremely quickly. They see Curry on Sochan, they see Gary Payton on Zach. It's really good stuff.
Oh and Wemby's 3 pointer is going to come at some point, don't worry.
I'm trying to keep expectations in check but you're right that the decision making and exploiting of mismatches is incredible right now.
