Pretty much been the only one capable of throwing a lob to Victor. Should be one of the most high value shots in the NBA and should be constantly trying to do it.

I agree. Also Pop should bring out the LaMarcus Aldridge playbook for Wemby. Run all those sets to get Wemby the ball in the post and let him shoot from midrange

Lots of fun watching them grow - Wemby is the real deal and I can't complain about Sengun - hopefully we lean into him some more.

i probably love danny as much as anybody except you. and yes, danny was miles, miles better defender than vassell is. and his transition defense is truly stuff of legend.

vassell isnt an aspiring 3&D player. maybe that was his draft profile, but we're past that. he's being expected to be an offense generator, and he's pretty good at that. danny wasnt even asked to put more than 2 dribbles together before turning it over.

ill grant that danny was a better 3&D player than vassell has been so far, but thats like saying bonner was a better 3 point specialist than wemby

Being a significantly better defender is kind of a big thing. That combined with the spacing his shooting rep provided basically meant Green was always a positive player. Vassell will hopefully be that from now on, but he hasn't been such so far in his career. Hence my comment.

I never said your comment on Vassell's ceiling wasn't true. But that's because Vassell ended up becoming a different kind of player, not because he's exceeded those standards. I wouldn't want to change Vassell, as he's definitely the second hope right now. But a strong defender who's a very good shooter and understands how to play his role would absolutely be the second guy now. Not on the team we hope the Spurs become. Hopefully that Green would be fourth best. But until we know who's real and not, I'm not taking anyone out of the "shaky" category yet.

wemby making winning plays early in his career in crunch time. want to see him go and get the basketball a little more in the final possessions, looked like zach was waiting on him to set picks and he sat back.

we start hitting victor for the easy dunks early and he's cruising to 30+

Can’t help but feel like we didn’t really deserve to win tonight but I’ll gladly take it Had a few beneficial calls from the refs and the Rockets the bed, but a win is a win. This team will have its ups and downs but all in all hard to be too upset with the first two games.

Most exciting thing so far is Victor’s crunch time play. Dude has been legit in big moments in both games.

I agree with that too. We lack rim protection inside with Zach and ain‘t that great at guarding the pick & roll either. We always seem to go on a run when he plays the 5 and Osman the 4
