Random assumptions. The Spurs will make a move to acquire a star if the need arises. They've shown that. Whether it was going in on O'Neal/Kidd, making the move for Aldridge or securing DeRozan/Walker trade, the Spurs are totally willing to make the necessary moves to build around their stars. It'd be irrational of the Spurs to get all these picks with the goal of tanking for their star. Those picks will have to be traded. They won't all be traded, and there's no timeline for when a trade would happen. But it makes zero sense to assume the Spurs wouldn't be like every other team that wasn't fortunate enough to luck into two stars in back-to-back drafts.
