I believe Wemby will be a superstar in this league. I also think he’s playing like tonight. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
Couple of really nice Sochan sequences.
1. Sochan paint penetration but blows the layup.
2. Sochan runs to the low block to bury Grayson which leads to the KJ pitch to Zach for the wide open three.

I honestly think we need to sit Wemby for a game and get back to basics.
Our guys are trying too hard to figure out how to play with him and as a result they’re not even doing what they did well last year.
This is also part of the problem with Wemby not getting a well defined role.
Just let Wemby be Wemby doesn’t work when the 19 year old rookie struggles and gets lost.
Pop needs to give him some basic things that he can do well and then expand from there.

He needs to figure out the NBA, seems a bit lost tbh. So he needs to play more.

the problem isn't "wemby isnt getting the ball enough"
he has 4 turnovers and 5 FGA. and his shot selection is... bad
the problem is that they dont seem to be running any offense at all. every possession feels like the last possession of a quarter where its just a simple on-ball screen and hoping the ball handler can create a shot for himself. and if that fails, back it out, and do it again.

I would be a pretty terrible head coach, but on day one I would sit Vassell down and tell him to never take that shot unless the shot or game clock is about to expire. There will always be something better.
