A UN-run school serving as a shelter in a refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip was struck by Israel on Saturday, according to the UN agency assisting Palestinian refugees in Gaza, UNRWA.
UNRWA’s communications director Juliette Touma confirmed to CNN on Saturday that “one of its schools in the Jabalya refugee camp, [in the] north of the Gaza Strip, was impacted by strikes this morning, 4 November."
"The school is being used as an UNRWA shelter for displaced families” Touma said.
The strikes killed 15 people and injured more than 70, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza.
