Good result for the Spurs draft picks.
Bummer they went away from Wemby and McBuckets in the 4th qtr
Pacers game should be interesting
Hopefully, the Spurs make it compe ive
Good result for the Spurs draft picks.
Also true. Still shouldn't have lost this one. Hopefully we bounce back!
Yet still the best pg on his own team by a mile.
I knew this was coming, it's just a shame it had to happen to those pricks.
Pop is a senile fool. From over resting/under utilizing Wembanyama, to doing the opposite with Collins (and inexplicably playing him in a drop), to leaning too heavily on the dreaded Sochan-Jones combination, etc.
Not having McDermott, Osman or Branham in for the final possession of regulation was beyond stupid too.
Average at best in most areas, but a terrible PG, tbh.
Maybe Pop was desperate for a rebound. Every update on ESPN gamecast said S Barnes rebound
Yea those two definitely the bed in the 4th. Basically handed the Raps the game on a platter with their performances. Goes without saying, but Wemby desperately needs better talent around him.
Hard to inbound the ball when all four of your teammates aren't facing you. Tre was supposed to be the outlet in the backcourt and he was standing there watching.

Some low energy in the 4th without urgency feeling they already won. Needs leadership in the court to keep plays and energy. This is when you miss any of the big 3 knowing how to pace games
Pop absolutely ed that one
Idiot
All you could learn from today is Zach Collins isn't Prime Shaq so probably shouldn't be feeding him on the block every possession when the other team is making a run.
Collins and KJ both had more shots than him. Collins had as many touches in OT. Stop.
Pop absolutely ed that one
Idiot
I really like Collins but WTF trying to go to him every time down the floor?
he had 3 steals
Clear out Wemby! Zach's trying to post up! - Tre Jones in OT
Most likely. I think they are going to unload a player or two at the trade deadline. They are going to want to keep their pick this year but Spurs can hope for the next two years after this for that pick to convey.
lol...............
I'm honestly fine with that.
IMO when you have a player like Wemby, every season is either A) Contend for a le or B) Develop your players.
We aren't winning a le this year or next. So we need to put those guys in situations to get them experience. Leaning on Wemby is going to get him hurt and or tire him out. 82 games is a long season esp for a rook. Getting those guys numbers also makes them easier to move when we're ready to trade to step up in contention status.
Branham not getting any minutes down the stretch when he was cooking all game? Wemby not seeing time at the 5 in favor of Zollins when the Raptors didn't have a C on the court during their run?
That's the old man I know tbh![]()
All part of the process unfortunately. Disappointing result with confounding late game play.
Least Branham got it going a bit.
Would still much rather start Doug or Cedi to assist with spacing in the starting 5.
Oh well, on to the next one.
A reality that some of you need to face is that Victor is really not great in the post. He doesn't establish position well, he doesn't seal, and he doesn't really have any moves once he gets the ball. He freelances a lot. Makes it hard to swing the ball to him at the perimeter.
Zach was the only other guy they could have run it through?![]()
Yep. Pop being Pop for sure.
