Wemby's MSG baptism. I hope he fares well on the biggest stage in all of basketball. Spurs lose by twenty and Knicks likely to hit at least 15 threes in this one.

Wonder if Vassell is back? Go Spurs!
he's listed as doubtful for tonight.
Goal: Keep them under 120!
Need to see a better effort on defense
Technically we match up great with the Knicks. Their bigs lack size and their wings ain‘t that dangerous. We just don’t have anybody who can guard Brunson, so I guess he‘ll drop 40 on us tonight
They suck on defense, so Brunson's 40 won't matter. Wemby should absolutely feast.
if he gets the ball
So far, only defensive minded teams have sold out to pack the lane and deny him. This is what exposed Phoenix as pretenders.
Didn’t follow the Spurs last year but per the internet recap of the @NY game in January, Spurs were down 2 with the ball and 5 seconds left. Sochan was called for a 5 second violation trying to inbound. Ended the night with zero pts in 30min PT.
Randle, Robinson (arguably the best offensive rebounder in the league) and Hartenstein are all brutes and there's no off ball wing/forward among the starters to put Wembanyama on to roam.
off topic but i havent really paid much attention to Scoot and the Blazers and just checked on his stats so far. holy did we really luck out getting the #1 pickI know it's only been a few games and he will improve but his numbers are abysmal right now - 8.8ppg/4.5apg/2.2rpg on 34% shooting (9% from three
) with 4 TOs and 4 fouls per game. going about as bad as it can for him so far
well, the Knicks are a defensive minded team ...
Mitc Robinson is a pretty big, strong C so should be an interesting match up for Wemby (assuming the Knicks use him to guard Vic)
Knicks are strong offensive rebounder. This one could end quick if Spurs are not there from start
Would be nice to get DV back, hopefully he's 100% tbh
he's also missed the last two games with a sprained ankle, and is listed as out for tonight as well.
Yeah, and Miller isn't looking great either. This was definitely a draft with one clear winner and a steep dropoff after that. That's why it felt so good to win the lottery. The difference between #1 and #2 was the difference between starting a new chapter of the franchise and just having some decent new player.
still leaving room for the possibility, but still seems like he's on the doubtful side of things. nevertheless, its great that he's close to a return, considering many of us were concerned this would be a multi-week thing, if not more than a month
Apparently nobody's really sure of the interest of winning games, so let's hope for a Wemby show!
I think the knicks have had every single game nationally televised so far…
and they are boring as
Even if I am team tank, I don't feel like losing to the ty Knicks, for some reason. Maybe the guys will actually hoop today.
I saw a tweet saying that he would warm up tonight and be a gametime decision.
