: Give up nine 3-pointers, commit nine turnovers, allow 12 second-chance points.

Poor Wemby, man. Calls for the ball every single time down the court (excessively tbf ) and literally gets ignored every single time. Seems odd.

No fire, no effort to start the 3rd. Pretty flat all game, but this start is pathetic.

I don't think the issue is a lack of emphasis and more so that Keldon isn't a good passer. He lacks vision and throws a lot of errant passes.

I would much rather have a wing with size, defense, and some playmaking (Sidy, maybe?) playing off of Wemby and Vassell. If the team is willing to part ways with better prospects/players like Derrick White and DeJounte Murray, then there is no way Keldon is our long - term solution at starting SF.
sidy would have have found wemby easy for sure....Was such a obvious play...Just shows kj has no iq...
That play could of got wemby going and change ghe momentom of the game...but not on kj time i guess

spurs should go after Quickley in the offseason
A younger, little bit bigger version of DeVonte Graham. He'd probably be great as a starter or a 6th man off the bench (depending on who we draft).

It's like in NBA2K when you smash the "call for ball" button and somehow get a negative grade despite being the only one who can score.

Yeah I couldn't believe he didn't even consider throwing it. Everyone that is watching saw that but the player on the court had no idea, or just didn't want to pass it to him.
I may have missed the play folks are talking about, but I did notice in some of those videos where people show the Spurs missing Wemby that he's not open at all. Like in one video, Victor is standing directly under the basket surrounded by three guards. Where do you throw the ball? The rim is blocking anything high. He let guards push him out of position. That sort of thing happens a lot, especially in situations where he sprints down the floor looking for his.

Like he was just calling for a lob when the rest of the team was running actions that got Keldon a free drive to the rim. What is he doing? Is he not paying any attention to what's going on around him?

I honestly think the Spurs' plan to put Wemby on a shooter and have him hopefully get weakside contests is off-base. He's not scoring enough and not doing enough else on offense to not play active defense. Put him in these actions. Maybe if he's involved more on defense, he'll be more engaged on offense and not just float around looking for chances for him to score.

White flag. We suck. Collins is useless. We have no defense. Noone can shoot. Noone can defend. Good news is we’ll atleast have a top 10 draft pick. Everyone but Wemby/Vassel/Osmen needs to be traded

While we're experimenting with lineups, I want to see Wemby at center, and bring in Barlow at PF. It has to be better than this .
    Experimental lineups isn't the problem

    Spurs can't score

    Spurs can't defend

    Very little team play

Just crappy basketball no matter who's on the court

He's done it the past two years. To put it into perspective, Devin has only started 43 percent of the games he's played. Keldon has started 91 percent. Sochan has started 95 percent. Jones has 43 percent of his games despite having multiple other guards ahead of him for half of his time in the NBA. Collins has started 38 percent of his Spurs games despite Poeltl being traded less than a season ago.
he started 84% of his games last year (and even then, his bench games were usually when getting back into the swing of things coming off injuries), and 5/6 this year

Remember when it took Pop all of 4 games to switch things up, benching Antonio Daniels for a rookie Tony Parker? Good ol days of coaching, instead of trying the same thing over and over again.

he started 84% of his games last year, and 5/6 this year
Because he was the clear-cut option for two-guard. Johnson hasn't been the clear-cut option for anything and still kept starting. Both Keldon and Sochan were injured too, but Pop didn't think long stints off the bench made sense for them. It's only Vassell whom Pop seems to want to try in that position.
