takes him forever to get across half court. by the time he's able to make his first pass in a possession the shot clock is down to 10

Pop is doing him a great diservice by forcing him to play PG. He's great at what he knows what to do: be an off ball player, getting looks by moving around and working as a secondary playmaker when the defense is already in scrambling mode. This other thing Pop is trying is just making the fan base turn on the poor guy.

He wasn’t brought in for the last play because he was standing at the scorers table for over a minute. But he should have been involved in the play regardless.
