When you're Phil Jackson and have a team full of vets you can let them figure it out. When you have a team of guys 19-22 how the are they supposed to figure it out?

Nobody is expecting to win. We just want compe ive games and the team not playing like the worst pick-up basketball team of all-time. We want some semblence of organization and designed plays. Losing by 40 pts every game takes its toll on a fanbase and the players. This is beyond pathetic and shouldn't be acceptable at all.
The worst part is that all of this is self inflected harm by our HoF coach. I seriously think any other coach on the NBA (and not in the NBA too) could have this group of players playing way better than this.

Sochan and Keldon doing this bs where they put their head down and drive from the top of the key, miss open players, and get blocked… has to stop. Then Wemby getting the ball with two defenders on him and no positioning to do anything but take a bad shot… that isn’t “Sochan learning PG”
Just canceled Bally Sports. Not going to pay for this product. We’ll see you next year.
This team certainly have a lot of target, just not the PG to find people. I know I said be patient, but at some point Wemby would benefit from good plays of a true PG nstead of this.
Spurs badly need a veteran guard that can organize the team on both ends.. even if just to mentor the young guys. So many PGs moved around this summer, it was a mistake to not get one of them even if only for a year... Getting beat like this is the opposite of development, you can already see the frustration is getting out of control. Options will be more limited and prices higher now but hopefully the spurs can bring someone in ASAP
I must admit i knew this team would be bad because the Spurs made no moves with a 22 win game roster but i thought they'd coach up Wemby more with their knowledge of what works and what doesn't in the NBA but it looks like their just going to let Wemby figure it out and yea he's getting a lesson.
People are really convincing themselves multiple 40 point losses is somehow normal, even for a young team.
I need ex to come in here and tell me that the course is for us to be blown out by 40+ points a game. That the course is for us to have a show for a PG and the course is for us to be historically bad defensively. Losing is one thing but getting the brakes beat off of us over and over again is embarrassing.
PATFO is to blame for this. They arrogantly believed they didn’t need vets. The arrogantly believed that they didn’t need a PG and they arrogantly believe that they don’t need to coach Wemby on his first 10 games. sounds so stupid. It’s literally the 3 worst things you could do and they did all 3.
I wish Stanley Johnson now instead of Champagnie. Stanley has some meanness with himwho cares. he's basically on a 1 year contract, and isnt even in the rotation unless there are injuries. champagnie's roster spot is far from the problem my man

Yep. I'd argue that this style of play and lack of structure is actually just stifling Wemby's development.
Instead of learning how to play good, fundamental basketball...he is stuck with a "PG" who can't dribble or pass him the ball and a team that currently has the worst point differential in the NBA by a WIDE margin.

if spurs sports and entertainment starts seeing a reduction in their product, Bally unsubscriptions, less people at games after an exciting energetic opening night, after getting a phenom in Wemby, this might actually get them to tell Pop to actually do something to change things.
i doubt it but possible.
