I was there a month ago. It was fine.
We stayed in West Seattle, but spent most of the time downtown near the market, 5th Ave, MOPOP, Asian dining, etc. My 7th time visiting in the past 20 years and I haven't noticed a significant amount of degradation in that time. If anything, it's better than 5-10 years ago since they finished construction on the bridge/tunnel. We took scooters, busses and ferries everywhere. Never felt threatened.
I think you're being a little dramatic. Every city has homeless, crazies, closed stores and graffiti. Just keep walking.
...into the , puke, needles and .
Post your stats for 2023.
How huge? Did per-capita crime outright double and reach only 2003 levels?
On a per-100K basis, that's about a 0.1% increase.Your graph does illustrate there was jump in 2022 and our "leadership" did nothing for us to counter it.
You're not good at stats. Consider having another argument today.
"if you're homeless, you're worthless"
As someone who lives less than 10 miles from San Francisco, hearing conservatives talk about how the city is on fire and filled to the brim with crime is hilarious. Yes, the homeless situation isn't great and they need to do a lot more to address it, but the idea that they're dystopian wastelands no one wants to live in is pretty hilarious considering a 2BR apartment in the city rents for $4000. I've never had a single issue walking around the city, at night or otherwise, but maybe that's because I'm not a trigger happy sociopathic paranoid boomer?
LOL I almost got bit by a literal zombie on Highland Avenue in Los Angeles last time I visited in 2022. That was wild! Since 2019-2022 I could most definitely see how much worse West Hollywood has gotten with its vagabond junkies on the streets. It was very visible and totally different from a couple yrs prior. I have no idea about San Francisco but Los Angeles has definitely changed but still not as bad as the internet would have you believe.
WC has been shown this data before. I did a few weeks ago. He knows better and is just playing dumb. It is what he does.
You want to see real, ed up , give you nightmares crime?
Yes? Scroll below, you were warned!

It matters what you spend it on, sure. I'm not defending California government, go bark up someone else's tree.
Sorry you're suffering in California.
Y'all have a four family oligarchy, I'm sure it sucks.
That said, the danger and disorder of US cities now isn't anywhere close to what it was in the 1970s and 80s. My childhood and early adulthood was much worse.
Why are you crying?
Is the fear fapping media telling you to?
He should pick himself up by his bootstraps and get the out of the state if it's such a problem for him.
No one would miss him, 100% guarantee you that.
Cry & Winester, sittin' in the tree, k.i.s.s.i.n.g...
well, I guess Chucho prefers the victim slippers.
bootstraps for thee, sympathy for me.
Californians for ya bro.![]()
This is stupid even for you. Wine is clearly saying that he has no bag in CA and DMC is crying about how is being treated as a Californian.
You then come with this take? You don't really think before you write/speak do you?
Best state I lived on so far, by a long mile. Not much different from New York when it comes to big city problems, and obviously far from perfect, but there's tons to like.
Great food, weather, women, big economy, high paying jobs, lots of nice cities to visit at a short distance, chill people with chill at udes. To be fair, not many states can compete with that.
Video. Cell phones recording & uploading. Also reason why crime took a dip.
Historically crime in the West is centralized towards poverty. When it starts affecting everyday people is when outrage ensues.
IMO post Covid we have witnessed crime spilling over into working class & vacation spots. Targeting tourist really pisses people off when their business is reliant on tourism. And in America when you fk with business money, it makes noise.
