I think the PG experiment might not translate to win but definitely would develop Sochan as a better ball-handling/facilitator big which is the silver lining, just until the Spurs get their true PG. I truly believe they are soft-tanking with the inexperience team. We just need to be patient and trust that this is the best process in the long run. The Spurs are not trying to win now, but building a championship team that we all know takes a long process.

This. Not to mention being the best year to tank for a Wemby running mate. He might be too good a sop re for the Spurs to tank again, like Luka.

That's only if Sochan's best version as a player is not a ball-handling one, which we don't know at the moment. He's clearly being molded into something right now. Whether good or bad is TBD, but I personally can see the benefit. The modern NBA almost demands a certain level of self-creation. They're not equal players, but I think of someone like Scottie Barnes, they have similar frames and that driving aspect to their game.

Yes Sochan is performing poorly right now, but that doesn't mean he's not learning valuable skills for his game development. In any case, I think the results have been such that I'd be surprised if he's starting at PG next season. Spurs will either trade for, or draft, next season's starting PG, IMO.
