I must admit though this game was another, "gonna get league pass to watch the team grow up" game Whereas last game was a, "bullet dodged aren't you lucky you haven't gotten league pass to watch this crap?" game.
It’s one thing for a losing team to do that but for a winning team, it’s a move unless this in season tourney counts points in a tie breaker?

He takes a lot of really bad threes. I still think it's going to be a valuable weapon for him long term, he just has re ed shot selection right now. I am a little surprised it has gone the other way though considering his footwork on his three point shot looks a lot better than it did in France or even the preseason. If it makes you feel any better though Durant was a 29% three point shooter his rookie year.

Mamu was earning more mins tonight
Pretty sure the in season tournament has a point differential portion in the standings, so it just makes theirs better
This is the energy we need to bring every night.
In season tourney game.
Ah, I see. Thanks. Man, this game has passed me by. Just not a fan of today’s game and play-in . Still going to watch my Spurs as much as I can but yeah, I missed how the game was even 7 years ago.
Thanks!
Every game is its own thing and Mamu was moving the needle tonight. He needed to play in the 4th quarter.
Who actually thought this would be a better season? Come on guys, this “team” is not going to make it happen.
This was a much better effort for the entire team tonight. Lazy passes? Yep. Bad shot selection? Also yes. But they didn't quit and the team defense was a lot better. This was a compe ive effort against a superior team.
Wemby can help alot by chilling out with the bad threes.
Vic was a -31 in a 9 point lossgeez
He takes bad shots and has two or three lazy passes per game. His basketball IQ says he will figure this stuff out.
If only Matt Bonner were here instead of Victor.
His shooting confidence is down the gutter right now. That'll pick up with time.
The GOOD
- Zach carried the team on his back tonight. Yes the stats are great 28/8/5, but what stood out to me was his 100% LEADERSHIP. He was directing on offense and defense, setting screens, and making smart decisions. His stats were a direct consequence of his leadership.
- It’s official: Free Mamu! Wow it was exciting watching him play. He’s oozing with basketball IQ, awareness, and has a unique combo of agility and strength that is fantastic to watch on defense. He’s not a glue guy, he’s a super glue guy.
- Victor’s stat line was interesting: 27pts on 12/26, 9reb, 0ast, 4TO, -31+/-. I honestly don’t care about any of those numbers, good or bad. He is learning what’s working and what’s not, and that’s all the matters. For his mistakes his head was in the right spot. Reminding myself this 19yo has played his 11th NBA game of his life and he’s still doin this.
- Jeremy looked more comfortable out there with 6ast. Good D on Fox who was murdering everybody.
- Keldon had a terrible stretch of TOs, but other than that he did a great job raining 3s in clutch situations. Better decision making and looks more patient. Defense was not atrocious.
- Cedi seems determined to get out of his funk by doing more than shooting 3s. Good on him, he had a nice night.
- Doug with 3ast and 0 TOs?! It’s a Christmas miracle!
The BAD
- Champagnie was just a flat out liability on both ends. Made some decent plays but I put it on Pop for playing him 25min.
- Stat line for Branham looks nice, but his defense was the consistent weak point for us. Was tough to watch.
The UGLY
- No ugliness!
OVERALL the best loss of the season, which is sad to say, but that’s where we’re at these days. Our young guys are showing improvement, individually and collectively. And without Vassell and Tre on the floor! I think with all the Wemby hype and therefore expectations, patience from us fans quietly snuck out the back door the last few months. We’ve made a lot of good progress in only 11 games. Here’s to Jones + Vassell’s health and Mamu minutes!![]()
Does Wemby have a bad touch around the basket not involving dunks? Jokic he is not
Wemby doing everything per usual. What a stud
IDK I gotta admit the play-in has made early season more interesting where teams so often didn't give a in November in year's past. Amazing how much that dinky $500,000 prize is such a carrot in front of the players as opposed to trying to earn a contract for $40 million a year as a middling player like VanVleet did this summer. That contract would give me so much hope to just bust my ass like a madman to earn that kind of money if I was an NBA player of better than scrub talent.
It could be because of the In-season tournament format, where point differential is one of the tie-breakers in the group stage.
Well at least they didn’t get prison ed tonight. Step in the right direction.
Really curious, if Wemby will sit out the b2b game.
