Also got suckered into seeing Priscilla. Apparently the story is about Elvis being a perv and about her being alone in the house where she is bored all the time. Fell asleep for 45 minutes, woke up, same thing until she leaves him. 0/10
Got suckered into seeing the Marvels. 0/10. I want my two hours of time back.

What stream is it on, shortcake?
Mate, that was a slam dunk turd you could see coming from a mile away.
It's in theaters
The Holdovers 8.5/10
The Killers of the Flower Moon 9/10
Bummer, bum, but, now I'm bummed out not having it on a stream. There's so many bums in theater now, always wanting to bum money off of us, bum.
Saw a serviceable film last night...-Last Call for Istanbul-...dubbed in English, but it worked fine as the actors were excellent. A romantic lesson that has a severe twist at the last.
Netflix
I've been wanting to see the holdovers. Love the vintage 70s throwback film look.
Killers of the Flower Moon is a great story but a long movie and sadly, shows what people will do for money.
Watched another serviceable film tonight...-Detour-...a remake of a '50's movie by the same name. It's pretty slick and keeps a moving right along.
Prime Video
Pretty sure I rated this one already but I watched Transpecos with the Mrs last night. Great flick.
8/10
bene, sweetheart, angel puss, you can't be trusted on movies...I learned that a coon's age ago.

Took another look at -The Strangers- this afternoon. Has not aged very well.
Working my way thru -Apostle- now. Not the one with Duvall. This one is a horror film. Over 2 hours long and drags a bit, but I'm going to see it thru.
Netflix
Good Time - rewatched this and was just as impressed as the first time. Pattinson is awesome. Hopefully the next Safdie Brothers movie doesn’t feature Adam Sandler screaming for 2 hours.
8/10
Took a look at -Nope- but it's just Black WOKE nonsense & horse . I shoulda known.
Working my way for the umpteenth time now back thru the '78 version of -The Invasion of the Body Snatchers- a flawless motion picture event of film. American film.
Prime
Napoleon 6/10. Too bad they showed the good battle scenes in the previews. The stuff in between the battles was boring.
0/10 chance I will ever watch again.
Godzilla Minus One - 9/10
Americans need to stop making Godzilla movies.
Def checking that this week. Loved the original so seeing a remake with modern special effects should be great.
Definitely going to this with my best bro. Long viewing.
Not sure I'd go to this film for the battle scenes amigo.
-The Silencing- GIGO
-Hick- Gobbledygook
-Invasion of the Body Snatchers- '78. An American masterpiece. There is a point in this about midway thru where Sutherland comes to the bitter realization that it will not work out; lives & love will end. His tears sheen his eyes ever so delicately. It is so precise. The direction catches him in this moment and it actually hurts the heart to behold.
Netflix
Lol I was hoping to watch a complete movie, but if you're going just for the storyline, there just ain't much there. To each their own

Ridley Scott’s obsession with releasing 4 hour director’s cuts of all his movies always means the theatrical version will be trash. Not sure why he kills his own movies like this.
Threads - 7/10
Pretty brutal depiction of the aftermath of nuclear war with none of the feel good scenes you typically see in these kind of movies. War comes from the US invading Iran, which draws Russia in, so maybe we'll get to see it real life soon enough. Movie makes it clear the next war after WW3 will be fought with sticks and stones.
It's up on youtube for free
Saw this awhile back. Low budget TV movie, but really quite powerful.![]()
Movie definitely makes me just want to run to Randolph AFB (live in the area) to die in the initial blast if I ever see our ICBMs in the air and/or hear the nuclear strike warning sirens. Pretty horrible seeing mid 30s Ruth maybe 13 years after the blast with gray hair and giant cataracts dying with a daughter who doesn't even really give a since she's so desensitized to death. Kind of weird her daughter talks in pidgin, probably the one part of the movie that seems pretty unrealistic.
